#18

If you like to bet on sports and love college hoops, this game is for you. Tonight, the No. 18 Duke Blue Devils attempt to continue their domination of the Clemson Tigers when these ACC teams clash at Littlejohn Coliseum. The Blue Devils have defeated Clemson 20 straight times.

The Tigers have not beaten Duke since 1997, and have been outscored by an average of 16 points during the skid. However, the Blue Devils are just 3-7 ATS (against the spread) in the last ten meetings between the two.

The Tigers were the nation's last unbeaten team in Division I at 17-0, but have since dropped seven of nine. Overall, the Tigers have had just one payday in their last five games.

They have lost their last two straight up and ATS, including Sunday's 82-66 defeat to Maryland. Cliff Hammonds scored 16 points while James Mays, who leads Clemson with 13.2 points per game, was held to just ten.

Getting routed at home last game out might not be a bad thing if you're going to invest on Clemson this evening, because the Tigers are 7-1 ATS in their last eight games following a double-digit loss at home. This trend alone will make the sports betting community think twice before banking on Duke.

Conference play has not been kind to Clemson supporters as the Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last five contests vs. ACC opponents.

DeMarcus Nelson leads the Blue Devils with 14.0 points per game and had 13 Sunday against the Yellow Jackets in a 71-62 Duke cover win. The Blue Devils have a 53-27 advantage in points off turnovers in their last two games.

Clemson gave Duke a scare in the first meeting between the teams this season, on Jan. 25. The game ended in controversy as officials added time to the clock after Vernon Hamilton intercepted an inbounds pass and hit a game-tying 3-pointer to cap Clemson's five-point comeback in the final 13 seconds.

The clock did not start when Hamilton made the steal, and the Blue Devils took advantage as David McClure made a lay-up as time expired to give Duke a 68-66 victory.

The underdog is 7-3 ATS in the last ten matchups and the road team is 5-2 ATS in the last seven. Duke has certainly made beating Clemson look as easy as betting online, but can the Blue Devil dominance continue?
