NCAAB Parlay Picks – Virginia Tech, Memphis at Home Tonight

The Virginia Tech Hokies and Memphis Grizzlies will be at home tonight in separate NIT matchups looking to take down their lesser opponents and advance to the next round.
This look at each contest should help college basketball betting enthusiasts everywhere break the bank with two wise NCAA basketball wagers on tonight’s matchups.

NCAAB Betting Odds: Virginia Tech -13
Quinnipiac Bobcats (23-9 SU, 0-3 ATS, 2-1 O/U)
Virginia Tech Hokies (23-8 SU, 12-12-1 ATS, 13-9 O/U)
Quinnipac and Virginia Tech will both be trying to pick up a win tonight when they battle in the first round of the NIT Tournament at Cassell Coliseum at 7 PM ET.
Quinnipiac 411
The Quinnipiac Bobcats won five straight games and eight of nine before getting handed a narrow 52-50 loss by Robert Morris in the semifinals of the Northeast Conference tournament on Wednesday.
The Bobcats failed to cover the college basketball betting line as a 4.5-point home favorite to fall to 0-3 ATS over their last three games.
Virginia Tech 411
Hokies are 4-0 ATS in their last 4 non-conference games.
Hokies are 2-5-1 ATS in their last 8 games overall.
Hokies are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home games.
Jeff Allen scored a team-high 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds for Virginia Tech but it wasn’t enough as the Hokies lost to Miami 70- 65 in the ACC Tournament quarterfinals at Greensboro Coliseum on Friday.
The loss dropped the Hokies to 2-4 SU over its last six games. Virginia Tech also failed to cover the college basketball betting odds as a 3.5-point favorites to fall to 2-5-1 ATS over the last eight games.
Analysis: Quinnipiac’s season may not have ended with its loss in the league tourney, but the Bobcats are going down tonight and they are going down hard, just not hard enough for them to fail to cover the spread.
The Bobcats set Division I school records for overall wins and conference wins (15) this season to receive an automatic bid to the NIT – the school’s first Division I postseason berth ever and I like them to cover the high spread against the underachieving Hokies who have gone just 2- 2 in neutral site contests this season.
Maybe it’s me, but I think the Hokies’ 2-5-1 ATS record in their last eight games overall and 1-4 ATS mark in their last five home games – not to mention their pitiful SU play – rules them out as a real strong team to wager on tonight.
Expert NCAAB Picks: Quinnipiac +13 Points

St. John's 411
Red Storm are 5-1 ATS in their last 6 road games.
Red Storm are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as a road underdog.
Red Storm are 5-2 ATS in their last 7 non-conference games.
St. John’s had its two-game winning streak snapped in its 57-55 loss to Marquette in the second round of the Big East Conference tournament on Wednesday.
The Red Storm covered the NCAA Basketball odds as 4-point underdogs to move to 3-0 ATS over the last three games as D.J. Kennedy and Sean Evans each scored a team-high 12 points in the loss.
Memphis 411
Tigers are 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games as a favorite.
Tigers are 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games.
Tigers are 0-6 ATS in their last 6 non-conference games.
Willie Kemp scored a team-high 15 points to lead Memphis in its 66-65 loss to Houston in the Conference-USA quarterfinals in Tulsa on Thursday.
The Tigers failed to cover the college basketball odds as 6.5-point underdogs to snap a two-game ATS winning streak and fall to 2-4 ATS over the last six games.
Analysis: I like the Memphis Tigers to beat my ‘almost former alma mater’ St. John’s tonight, but I don’t like the ATS-struggling Tigers to cash in as 7-point favorites against a St. John’s team that has been solid, if not outstanding against the spread this season.
Memphis has gone a winless 0-3 SU in neutral site matchups this season while St. John’s has gone an impressive 5- 2 in neutral site contests.
The Tigers have recorded some absolutely dismal ATS wagering statistics this season, going just 1-4 ATS in their last five games as a favorite 1-5 ATS in their last 6 home games.
Tigers are 0-6 ATS in their last six non-conference games.
St. John’s , on the other hand, has been putting bucks in backers’ pockets in a big way recently.
The Red Storm are 5-1 ATS in their last six road games, 4-1 ATS in their last five games as a road underdog and 5-2 ATS in their last seven non-conference games.
I’ don’t think they’ll win outright, but I like the St. John’s Red Storm to cover the March Madness NIT betting odds tonight.
Expert NCAAB Picks: St. John’s +7 Points
