College Football Rankings - BCS Breakdown Week 11

1. Florida Gators (10-0 SU, 3-5-1 ATS)

Tebow steadied the Gators over the South Carolina Gamecocks 24-14, notching two touchdowns (1 rushing, 1 passing) and throwing for 199-yards. With the biggest roadblock en route to the SEC Championship out of the way, the Gators can start focusing on Alabama. There’s no way the loser of the SEC Championship game isn’t going to the BCS dance. No way.

Next Game: Florida International vs. Florida (-41.5)

2. Alabama Crimson Tide (10-0 SU, 7-3 ATS)

The Crimson Tide weren’t about to let Mississippi State derail their championship hopes. With a 31-3 victory, ‘Bama is one of the only big programs reaping huge rewards for their betting faithful. Too bad you won’t get to cash in when no oddsmaker in their right mind sets a line when the Tide rolls on against Chattanooooooga.

Next Game: Chattanooga vs. Alabama

3. Texas Longhorns (10-0 SU, 4-5-1 ATS)

Well I guess after you go up 47-0 in the fourth, you can take the rest of the game off. Texas stays quietly in third but are surrounded by clamor over the SEC contenders and the busters breathing down their necks.

Next Game: Kansas vs. Texas (-27)

4. TCU Longhorns (10-0 SU, 7-2 ATS)

Everyone wanted TCU to get the bump, but they’re too small of a program compared to the top-3 and they come from a weak conference. But big wins, especially against big opponents like Utah, keep them in the conversation. At this point, that’s all that TCU college betting fans can hope for.

Next Game: TCU (-29.5) vs. Wyoming

5. Cincinnati Bearcats (10-0 SU, 5-4 ATS)

Everyone thought West Virginia might cause a stir in the top-5, but the Bearcats held them off for a 24-21 victory. I’m really not sure if Cincinnati is popular enough to hold off teams like Ohio State, LSU and Pittsburgh so the heat is on.

Biggest Riser - #14 Stanford Cardinal (7-3 SU/ATS)

USC is 47-2 SU at the Coliseum. Those two losses both came against Stanford, and now it’s impossible not to consider Stanford as the late, dark-horse surging up the rankings with big wins piling up on their plate. If they can feast on California and keep the pedal slammed against the floor, the sky’s the limit for Stanford. This is their best ranking since 2001.

Next Game: California vs. Stanford (-6.5)

Biggest Loser - #22 USC Trojans (7-3 SU, 2-8 ATS)

All I can say is, “about damn time!” After getting blown out by unranked Washington, and demolished by Oregon, the pollsters kept USC in the top-10 leaving everyone mortified. Then came Stanford and the rest, just like the Trojans, is history.
