After seven weeks of the football betting season, it’s starting to become clear who the haves and the have-nots are in the ACC. Check out how BetUS stacks up the teams for football handicappers…
1: Miami Hurricanes (5-1 ATS, 5-1 SU) (LW: 1) The Canes probably didn't have the offensive explosion that they were hoping for against UCF, but no one is complaining about a 27-7 victory at Bright House Stadium. QB Jacory Harris had another great game, going 20/26 for 293 yards and a score, but he lost 34 yards on the ground thanks to a marginal day from his offensive line.
Up Next: Home vs. Clemson (-6)
2: Virginia Cavaliers (4-1 ATS, 3-3 SU) (LW: 3) All of a sudden, the Cavs aren't just the second best ATS team in the conference, but they're the only team in the entire conference that has yet to lose in the ACC. No one is expecting to see UVA atop the Coastal Division when it's all said and done, but after beating Maryland last week on the road, a victory at home against the Ramblin' Wreck would turn a lot of eyes.
Up Next: Home vs. Georgia Tech (+4)
3: Duke Blue Devils (3-1 ATS, 3-3 SU) (LW: 5) Duke and college football’s 8th ranked pass offense had the week off last week. QB Thaddeus Lewis had a field day two weeks ago, and he could be primed for a few more good weeks in the future with a relatively easy schedule. The Dookies are a favorite in a conference game for the first time in over a year this weekend.
Up Next: Home vs. Maryland (-5.5)
4: Clemson Tigers (4-2 ATS, 3-3 SU) (LW: 4) The bi-polar Tigers picked up a dominant victory over Wake Forest last weekend. Will the real Clemson squad please stand up? Will the one that lost to Maryland show up in Miami and get hammered, or will the one that just destroyed the Deacons take the field and give the Tigers a shot at pulling the upset?
Up Next: Away @ Miami (+6)
5: Boston College Eagles (4-2 ATS, 5-2 SU) (LW: 5) After scoring 54 points against Northeastern, no one expected to see the Eagles reach 50-points again. Not only did they pull that off against NC State, but they beat the snot out of the Wolfpack. A win against Notre Dame would be especially sweet next week in South Bend.
Up Next: Away @ Notre Dame (+8)
6: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets (4-2 ATS, 6-1 SU) (LW: 6) The Yellow Jackets stood up and took out the #4 team in the country on Saturday night, and as a result, not only do they have a solid chance to win the ACC, but they may be in the discussion for the National Championship when it's all said and done as well. There really isn't an excuse for them to lose another regular season game.
Up Next: Away @ Virginia (-4)
And the rest…
7: North Carolina Tar Heels (2-3 ATS, 4-2 SU) (LW: 10)
8: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (3-4 ATS, 4-3 SU) (LW: 7)
9: Virginia Tech Hokies (3-4 ATS, 5-2 SU) (LW: 8)
10: North Carolina State Wolfpack (2-4-1 ATS, 3-4 SU) (LW: 9)
11: Maryland Terrapins (2-5 ATS, 2-5 SU) (LW: 11)
12: Florida State Seminoles (1-5 ATS, 2-4 SU) (LW: 12)
