COLLEGE FOOTBALL BETTING – ‘Under’ Power Poll

Even though there have been plenty of offensive fireworks so far in this college football betting season, not every game has been a barnburner. Check out which teams you should be looking to place ‘under’ bets on with BetUS’s NCAA Football ‘under’ power poll this week…

1: Nebraska Cornhuskers (0-3) (LW: 3) If there was any doubt that the Black Shirts are back, Nebraska’s 16-15 loss to Virginia Tech should’ve removed those doubts. Yes, the Huskers came up on the short end of the stick, but they had the Hokies dead to rights the entire game. If not for a miracle touchdown drive with inside a minute to go, VT would’ve been the third team in a row that Nebraska held under ten points.

Up Next: Home vs. Louisiana-Lafayette

2: Penn State Nittany Lions (0-3) (LW: 4) Another week, another failed cover, and another ‘under’ for Penn State bettors. The Nittany Lions played their third straight very vanilla game when they beat Temple 31-6 over the weekend. If you want consistency, Happy Valley is the place to go. PSU has beaten its three opponents 31-7, 28-7, and 31-6 this season.

Up Next: Home vs. Iowa

3: Oklahoma Sooners (0-3) (LW: 6) Freshman QB Landry Jones may have tossed six touchdown passes, but the key to Oklahoma’s victory over Tulsa last week was the defense. No team in the country has put up better numbers than the Sooners on the defensive side of the ball, and that’s demonstrated by the fact that it’s been 123 minutes since anyone has scored a point on them.

Up Next: Bye

4: Wake Forest Demon Deacons (0-3) (LW: 8) It didn’t stay under by much, but Wake Forest’s 35-7 victory over Elon was just enough to keep ‘under’ bettors happy. This week in Chestnut Hill, it should be another offensive struggle against a BC team that can’t seem to find a quarterback.

Up Next: Away @ Boston College

5: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (0-3) (LW: 10) It’s becoming pretty clear that Tulsa’s offense isn’t the same without OC Gus Malzahn and QB David Johnson. The Golden Hurricane were shut out against Oklahoma’s stingy defense last week, and as a result, it was their third straight ‘under’ contest to start the season.

Up Next: Home vs. Sam Houston State

6: Bowling Green Falcons (0-3) (LW: 12) Bowling Green played another disgusting game on Saturday afternoon when they were beaten 17-10 in Huntington against the Thundering Herd. With one of the top mid-major defenses in the land on deck, it’s easy to see how ‘under’ bettors can move to a perfect 4-0 in Falcons’ games.

Up Next: Home vs. Boise State

7: Ball State Cardinals (0-3) (LW: NR) Now that QB Nate Davis has left, it’s pretty apparent that the Cardinals were nothing more than a one-year wonder. They’re 0-3, they’ve only scored 43 points on the season, and now they’re nearly five-touchdown underdogs against an SEC team that couldn’t get out of its own way last year.

Up Next: Away @ Auburn

8: UCF Knights (0-2) (LW: NR) The Knights may have had the worst offense in college football last season, and truth be told, this year, things aren’t too much better. They rank 115th in yards per game this season at 262.3, which makes it amazing that they have scored 23.3 points per game on the year. Expect to see plenty of ‘unders’ in UCF games all season.

Up Next: Away @ East Carolina

And the rest…

9: Boston College Eagles (0-2) (LW: NR)
10: Colorado State Rams (0-2) (LW: NR)
11: Louisiana-Lafayette Ragin’ Cajuns (0-2) (LW: NR)
12: Kansas State Wildcats (0-2) (LW: NR)
13: Oregon State Beavers (0-2) (LW: NR)
14: Vanderbilt Commodores (0-2) (LW: NR)
15: Nevada Wolfpack (0-2) (LW: NR)
