College Football Betting Trends - Week 12 UNDER Teams
by Mike Rose

Even though there have been plenty of offensive fireworks so far in this college football point spreads on with BetUS’s NCAA Football ‘under’ power poll this week…
1: Marshall Thundering Herd (8-1) (LW: 4) That's eight straight 'unders' for Marshall bettors. However, the fact that they couldn't figure out how to put away the Golden Eagles is going to be crippling to their bowl chances. C-USA's bowl allotment will be probably be filled to the max, which is going to make it difficult for the Herd to get it done with just six wins, and that's if they can win one of their L/2 games.
Up Next: Home vs. SMU
2: Tulsa Golden Hurricane (8-2) (LW: 1) 'Under' bettors got incredibly unlucky on Sunday night when QB GJ Kinne tossed a pick six and had a fumble returned for a TD in the final few minutes of an embarrassing 44-17 loss to East Carolina. Still, the oddsmakers have clearly overrated this Tulsa offense time and time again, and there may be more 'unders' on the horizon.
Up Next: Away @ Southern Mississippi
3: Oklahoma Sooners (8-2) (LW: 2) There wasn't ever much of a doubt about whether the Sooners were covering the spread this week against Texas A&M, and there wasn't much of a doubt about the 'total' either. OU dropped 65 points on the board against the Aggies, which was a harsh reality check that this team can still be lethal when given the chance.
Up Next: Away @ Texas Tech
4: Nebraska Cornhuskers (8-2) (LW: 3) The Huskers played stout defense against the Jayhawks, and the end result was an awesome 31-17 victory in Lawrence. The game may have cruised past the number, but HC Bo Pelini won't mind. His team is now on the verge of winning the Big XII North. A victory next week will get the job done and set up the showdown with the Longhorns.
Up Next: Home vs. Kansas State
5: Arkansas State Red Wolves (6-1-1) (LW: 11) Let's give the Red Wolves some credit for keeping the 'under' streak alive in spite of the fact that the Sun Belt teams have all seemingly been awesome 'over' squads. However, the offense which scored 61 points in its first game of the year against Mississippi Valley State hasn't reached 30 points since then.
Up Next: Away @ Middle Tennessee State
6: Rutgers Scarlet Knights (7-2) (LW: 7) Last week, we said that the fate of 'total' bettors in the USF/Rutgers game was going to rest on whether or not the Scarlet Knights could stuff up QB BJ Daniels and the Bulls or not. Mission accomplished. Not only was South Florida held down, but it was shut out. The 31-0 result kept the 'under' roll going in Rutgers games, and also pushed HC Greg Schiano's group into the Top-25.
Up Next: Away @ Syracuse
7: Arizona State Sun Devils (7-2) (LW: 5) The Sun Devils had a big time defensive lapse on Saturday when they were destroyed 44-21 by the Ducks. This should be an interesting game this week against a UCLA team that has struggled on offense for the majority of the season.
Up Next: Away @ UCLA
8: Illinois Fighting Illini (7-2-1) (LW: 10) Just when we thought that the Zooker would be able to keep his job, his Illini came out and job beaten by Northwestern to assure that they won't go bowling. Now with two OOC games left against tough foes, a 3-9 season seems like a certainty, which probably will get him canned.
Up Next: Bye
And the rest…
9: Iowa State Cyclones (8-2) (LW: NR)
10: Louisville Cardinals (7-2) (LW: NR)
11: UCF Knights (6-2-1) (LW: 6)
12: Penn State Nittany Lions (8-3) (LW: NR)
13: Kansas State Wildcats (7-3) (LW: 15)
14: Ohio State Buckeyes (7-3-1) (LW: 8)
15: Syracuse Orange (7-3) (LW: NR)
