Oklahoma State (6-6) vs. Alabama (6-6)
Oklahoma State -2: Total 50.
In a game that has been named the “Snow Bowl,” because Mississippi State and Texas A&M played a classic OT game in a driving snowstorm in 2000 - which Mississippi State won 43-41 - we can only hope for as good a game this year between two 6-6 programs.

- BCS Championship Game
Oklahoma State finished the year losing three of four. The only game they won down the stretch was a 62-24 thumping of door-mat Baylor. They lost to Oklahoma, Texas Tech and Texas. They also lost to Houston and Texas A&M; not a very good year for the fans of a proud program. Their strength is through the air on the arm of quarterback Bobby Reid, who had a 55.9 comp. %, 23 TD, 10 INT and 2,054 yards.
The odds makers have Oklahoma State just a three-point favorite over a weak Alabama squad.
Alabama: searching for a coach and firing a coach dominated the Crimson Tide’s recent months and it showed on the field. Alabama, like the Cowboys finished the year losing three big games. They were beaten by Mississippi State, LSU and arch- rival Auburn to end the year.
This makes for a very tough game to handicap. Who wants it more? Who has more to prove by winning a bowl between two 6-6 teams?
The Alabama offense has sputtered; they failed to get 20 points against any quality opponent all year, with the exception of their first game vs. Hawaii when they got 25. Alabama fans are very loyal but this team has let them down and interest has dwindled throughout 2006.
No coach, new coach, losing three in a row coming in, for the Tide; I would think the Cowboys have a big edge here.
There are a couple of wide receivers to watch: Alabama has D.J. Hall and Oklahoma State is led by Adarius Bowman. Both lead their team with 57 receptions and both had yardage of over 1,000. Bowman had 11 TD’s and a 19.8-yard average per catch. Hall had five TD’s and a 17.8 yard average.
Let’s hope for some snow!
