Sun Devil Stadium, Tempe --- Friday, December 29th, 7:30pm EST
Opening Line: Texas Tech -7 (66)
The Texas Tech Red Raiders are high flyers. Led by QB Graham Harrell, who threw for over 4000 yards this year as a sophomore, the Raiders love to strike through the air. The air attack has averaged 363.2 ypg and Graham has amassed 29 scores on the year.
The Minnesota Gophers have only held been able to hold teams to 253.5 passing yards per game. That’s a terrible sign for the Gophers.
Another bad sign for the Gophers? TE Matt Spaeth will miss the game. Spaeth has been the tempo-setter on offense for the Gophers as quarterback Bryan Cupito often gets caught after play-action and will dump the pass of to him.
While the Gophers possess a power-style running game, their gameplay has lacked power throughout the season. Instead, RB Amir Pinnix has shown sharp cuts that would thrill a sushi chef. However, the Gophers will get down early, causing them to abandon the run.

When you abandon the strongest facet of your offense, you’re in really big trouble. And while playing catch-up, Cupito will be making a lot of mistakes down the stretch.
Look for the Red Raiders to bomb the Gophers back into their holes with an unrelenting aerial attack. The Gophers just can’t be expected to match-up in this game.
Texas Tech is 5-6 ATS, 7-4 OU.
