Trojans Still a Force, Sooners Leapfrog Dawgs
by Tim Furious

1. USC Trojans (2-0)
Led by Dirty Sanchez, the Trojans took advantage of a generous spread and clobbered Ohio State University on both sides of the ball. The offense looked unstoppable, and the defense never let them in the end zone. Clearly, it’s going to take quite a bit to wrestle the top spot from them.
2. Oklahoma Sooners (3-0)
Averaging 556.7 yards and 54.0 points gets noticed. Apparently, the competition doesn’t matter. Oklahoma gets the week off to prepare for more serious competition down the road, namely Texas and Kansas in back to back weekends.
3. Georgia Bulldogs (3-0)
Yep, apparently if you keep winning, the AP doesn’t give a damn. Knowshon Moreno is running rampant en route to Heisman consideration, but these Dawgs aren’t garnering the respect they deserve. After they stomp a mud hole the size of Athens in to the backside of Arizona State, maybe the AP will smarten up.
Next Game: Georgia -6.5 vs. ASU
4. Florida Gators (2-0)
Give Urban Meyer a week and he’ll rip you to shreds. The Gators’ coach is 24-3 lifetime with a week to prepare. That means good things for these speedy Gators, and bad things for Tennessee’s betting faithful.
Next Game: Florida -8 vs. Tennessee
5. Missouri (3-0)
Who doesn’t love Chase Daniel at this point? The Tigers expectantly lead the country in offense and Daniel is the reason. While his own, personal Heisman campaign continues, Missouri will fail to dig deeper in to the top-5 unless they can beat Oklahoma. This is becoming one of college footballs more intriguing rivalries.
Next Game: Buffalo vs. Mizz -33
6. LSU Tigers (2-0)
I’ll believe in quarterback Andrew Hatch after they play Auburn. Say goodbye to the top-10, LSU.
Next Game: LSU -3 vs. Auburn
7. Texas Longhorns (2-0)
While Colt McCoy continues to impress his college football betting detractors, it’s going to take wins over OU and Mizzou before anyone takes these raging bulls seriously.
Next Game: Rice vs. Texas -30
8. Wisconsin Badgers (3-0)
Beating Fresno State was a start, but Wisconsin has to prove that they are an elite team before they can inch up the rankings. The Big Ten is a deep conference, and Wisconsin has been anything but consistent in recent seasons.
9. Alabama Crimson Tide (3-0)
The Tide face their biggest challenge when the Razorbacks host Nick Saban’s boys this weekend. Bama has been horrifically inconsistent as of late, and needs to seriously solidify their production.
Next Game: Alabama -10 vs. Arkansas
10. Auburn Tigers (3-0)
One big game against LSU gets respect and more betting backers in our college football sportsbook.
Next Game: LSU -3 vs. Auburn
11. Texas Tech Raiders (3-0)
This offense is easily one of the most fun to watch, with Graham Harrell and Michael Crabtree tearing people apart. As always, Texas Tech will have to beat a meaningful opponent before anyone cares. Eleventh? Seriously, Associated Press?
Next Game: Mass vs. Texas Tech
12. South Florida (3-0)
One field goal kick will last a lifetime for Maikon Bonani. The win over Kansas in crunch time will convince the betting community that these Bulls are worth a second look.
Next Game: South Florida -28 vs. Florida International
13. Ohio State Buckeyes (2-1)
Thanks for coming out. Nice sweater vest by the way.
Next Game: Troy vs. Ohio State -20.5
14. Brigham Young Cougars (3-0)
Quarterback Max Hall put himself on the map by putting up seven touchdowns against a Pac-10 team. Can he keep it up? Check out our prop and futures bets to see where we have him in the running for the Heisman to find out what we really think.
Next Game: Wyoming vs. BYU -26
15. East Carolina Pirates (3-0)
This is the first 3-0 SU start in over a decade. It’s also been a decade since the betting community gave a rat’s ass about this team. A guy like Patrick Pinkney can have that affect on you.
16. Penn State Nittany Lions (3-0)
Penn State is scoring? That’s right – fourth best in the country! They’ll need it to cover a monster spread this weekend.
Next Game: Temple vs. Penn State -28.5
17. Oregon Ducks (3-0)
Despite their mistakes on Saturday, Oregon was able to gut out a win. They committed four terrible turnovers and seven brutal penalties, but overcome them to win. Sluggish play like that will catch up to them eventually.
18. Wake Forest Demon Deacons (2-0)
Forget the win over Ole Miss, Wake Forest. FSU stands on the horizon, and they look nasty (in a good way).
Next Game: Wake vs. FSU -4
19. Kansas Jayhawks (2-1)
Well that was fun. Todd Reesing gets to unleash his pent up rage against Houston State this week.
Next Game: Houston vs. Kansas
20. Utah Utes (3-0)
Utah has outscored their opponents by a total of 71 points this season. Are they top ten bound? It’ll take a miracle, but a win over the Air Force will keep their momentum rolling.
Next Game: Utah -7.5 vs. Air Force
21. West Virginia Mountaineers (1-1)
What the hell? How did you guys move up without playing? You guys lost to ECU! Does Colorado have another upset in the making?
Next Game: WVU vs. Colorado
22. Illinois Fightin Illini (2-1)
You guys don’t belong here and you know it.
23. Clemson Tigers (2-1)
The Tigers are winning, but the key to a season opening loss is by decimating teams and crushing big spreads. The Tigers aren’t doing that. They still have quite a ways to go before people start betting on Clemson football again.
24. Florida State Seminoles (2-0)
Is FSU back on track for the glory days? We’ll find out when they take on Wake Forest this week.
25. Fresno State (1-1)
A win over Wisconsin was all they needed. Whoops.
Next Game: Fresno -6 vs. Toledo
