The first full weekend of college football kicks off this Saturday. Tune in and log in to bet on some of the top 25 teams in the nation throw down all around the country in an effort to start their season on the right foot. Ahead of this week's games, I singled out my top three picks that can help you put your best foot forward on September 1st.

Saturday, September 1: Ohio State vs. Oregon State +37.0

The Ohio State Buckeyes host the Oregon State Beavers in their season opener. The Buckeyes will be without head coach Urban Meyer in this game and the next two as he serves his suspension for his role in the Zach Smith assault case. Ohio State will be one of the best teams in college football this season, but they have had a ton of distractions in the preseason.

Jonathan Smith will begin his first season as head coach of Oregon State on Saturday afternoon. Smith also has former Beavers' head coach, Mike Riley on his coaching staff. Ohio State is the clear favorite in this game, but Oregon State is not 37 points worse than the Buckeyes. Bet the Beavers +37.0 to keep this game close on Saturday.

Saturday, September 1: Oklahoma -21.0 vs. Florida Atlantic

The Sooners welcome the Florida Atlantic Owls to Oklahoma this Saturday. FAU is coached by Lane Kiffin who has had success at some high level schools. The Owls finished the 2017 with an 11-3 record including a 50-3 victory over Akron in the Boca Raton Bowl. The Sooners begin their quest to return to the College Football Playoffs for a second straight season.

Oklahoma will be without last year's Heisman Trophy winner Baker Mayfield, who is now with the Cleveland Browns. Have no doubt that the Sooners are still loaded on offense. The Sooners are coached by one of the best offensive coaches in the game, Mike Riley. Oklahoma should put up a ton of points in this game. Florida Atlantic is a solid team, but they will be no match for the Sooners in this one. Bet Oklahoma -21.0 over FAU in the season opener.

Saturday, September 1: Auburn vs. Washington +2.5

The biggest game of the opening weekend is the University of Washington taking on Auburn University at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia. The Huskies enter this game as a 2.5 point underdog, but many people believe they have a chance to reach the College Football Playoffs this season.

Auburn meanwhile features possibly the toughest schedule in all of college football. The Auburn defense should be tremendous this season, especially up front. Jarrett Stidham will lead the Auburn offense for a second straight year, but they have some improving to do from last season if they want to be considered one of the elite teams.

Washington quarterback Jake Browning leads an experienced and talented Washington offense this season. Running back Myles Gaskin is an explosive runner capable of having a Heisman Trophy type campaign. Washington is the better team in this game. They'll defeat the Auburn Tigers. Bet the Huskies +2.5 over Auburn.
