Cotton Bowl & Chick-Fil-A Bowl

There are a pair of bowl games that feature some of the best teams in college football. While they are not the College Football Playoffs, they are four really good football teams. Let's take a look at and give a quick pick on both games.

The first game is the Goodyear Cotton Bowl. This game will be played at AT+T Stadium in Arlington Texas. This is the home of the Dallas Cowboys. The game features the 8th ranked USC Trojans and the 5th ranked Ohio State Buckeyes.

The Trojans of USC are 11-2 on the season and won the Pac-12. The two losses for the Trojans this season came on the road at the Washington State Cougars and then at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. USC has won five straight games, including a 31-28 win over the Stanford Cardinal.

Sam Darnold put up pretty solid numbers this season for the Trojans. The quarterback tossed for nearly 3,800 yards and 26 touchdowns. Deontay Burnett leads the team with 975 receiving yards and 9 touchdowns. The running game for USC saw Ronald Jones come up 14 yards shy of 1,000 on the season with 18 touchdowns.

Urban Meyer and the Ohio State Buckeyes finished 11-2 on the season. The Buckeyes finished as the winner of the Big Ten. The Buckeyes lost games to the Oklahoma Sooners, and then the Iowa Hawkeyes. The loss to Iowa essentially ended their chances at getting to the national title game.

Ohio State's J.T. Barrett finished with nearly 3,000 yards passing, 35 touchdowns, and 9 interceptions. His top target was Parris Campbell, with 587 yards and 3 touchdowns. J.K. Dobbins is the top running back for the Buckeyes with his 7 touchdowns.

The Ohio State Buckeyes are favorites in this game, but by too many points. Look for USC to compete in this game. It will come down to the end. Bet USC +7.5 in the Cotton Bowl.

Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl

The second game features the Central Florida Knights and the Auburn Tigers. This game is on New Years Day and will be played at the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta Georgia. This is the Chick-Fil-A Peach Bowl.

The #12 Central Florida Knights, the lone undefeated team in college football this season, will put their perfect record on the line. The Knights picked up a conference title over Memphis in the championship game after downing South Florida in a thriller.

The Knights are the top scoring team in the NCAA. UCF is scoring 49.4 points per game, and allowing 25.2. The passing game threw for 339.3 yards per game with QB McKenzie Milton throwing just 205 yards shy of 4,000 on the season to go along with his 35 touchdowns.

The Auburn Tigers lost three games this season (Clemson, LSU, and Georgia). The Tigers won the SEC West with a thrilling upset win over the Crimson Tide of Alabama. Auburn's running game comes into the game as one of the top units in the country.

Jarrett Stidham was the quarterback all season for the Tigers, but the run game was the key. Kerryon Johnson - the running back finished with over 1,300 yards and 17 touchdowns. Auburn's Ryan Davis was the top receiver with 5 touchdowns.

Look for the Central Florida Knights to use their passing game, and the ability to stop the football, and win this game. UCF will keep their unbeaten streak alive in the Peach Bowl.
