College Football Week 14 Expert Picks

The college football season has produced six unbeaten teams going into the final weekend. There are no one-loss teams.

Headlining the week is a #1 vs #2 matchup between the Florida Gators and the Alabama Crimson Tide in the SEC championship game. The winner goes to the BCS championship game.

Texas faces Nebraska in the Big 12 championship game, with a BCS championship game bid on the line for the Longhorns. BCS bids also are up for grabs in Pittsburgh, Tampa and Eugene, Ore.

College Football Week 14 Expert Picks:

(16) Oregon State at (7) Oregon

Oregon State Beavers +9
Oregon Ducks -9

Nightmare scenarios of a 6-way tie for the Pac-10 title were put to rest two weeks ago, leaving this game to settle the conference championship and the winner gets a free trip to the Rose Bowl.

My pick: Ducks won’t cover.

(1) Florida at (2) Alabama at 4:00 PM ET, Georgia Dome

Florida Gators -5
Alabama Crimson Tide +5

Finally the game we all wanted to see, Florida vs. Alabama.

My pick: Gators will cover.

(3) Texas at (22) Nebraska at 8:00 PM ET, Cowboy Stadium

Texas Longhorns -14
Nebraska Cornhuskers +14

The oddsmakers say this will be the most lopsided championship game of the weekend. The Huskers 4th ranked pass defense will get a test with Heisman hopeful Colt McCoy comes to Nebraska.

My pick: Texas won’t cover.

(5) Cincinnati at (15) Pittsburgh at 12:00 PM ET, Heinz Field

Cincinnati Bearcats -2
Pittsburgh Panthers +2

The winner goes to a BCS game while the loser may have to settle for a bid to the Meineke Car Care Bowl.

My pick: Bearcats will cover.

Arizona at (18) USC at 3:30 PM ET, Lon Angeles Coliseum

Arizona Wildcats +7
USC Trojans -7

Neither of these two teams has found really the consistency that they need, however USC is a better team than Arizona.

My pick: USC will cover.

(10) Georgia Tech at Clemson at 8:00 PM ET, Raymond James Stadium

Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets -1
Clemson Tigers +1

The Tigers won’t be able to stop the Yellow Jackets running game and pressuring Georgia Tech QB Nesbit won’t be enough.

My NCAA football free pick: Yellow Jackets.
