BetUS NCAA Football Odds: MICHIGAN STATE -4.5, Total 48

Here are some of the NCAA college football sports betting trends as they relate to this matchup:

* WISC has covered one of its last five games

* WISC has won 17 of its last 25 games SU

* WISC has lost four of its last five games SU

* WISC has played eight of its last 12 games OVER the total

* WISC has covered one of its last nine road games

* WISC has lost six of its last eight road games SU

* WISC has played four of its last six road games OVER the total

* MSU has covered four of its last six games

* MSU has won seven of its last eight games SU

* MSU has played four of its last five games OVER the total

* MSU has won five of its last six home games SU

* MSU has played four of its last five home games UNDER the total

Also...

* WISC has won five of the last seven meetings SU

* The last five meetings would have gone OVER the total

Sure, Wisconsin showed what they can do when they beat Illinois last week. But there was a price to pay as they came out of it. The Badgers lost starting tight end Travis Beckum, one of the absolute best in the country, for the balance of the season with a broken leg. He finishes his career with 159 catches, and he was the most dependable target for quarterback Dustin Sherer, who is still trying to find himself (38 for 73, three interceptions in last three games).

P.J. Hill has slowed down considerably, as he has run for just 101 yards combined in the last three contests after an auspicious start against Akron (210 yards). He's had ankle and foot problems, and he is not going to be at full effectiveness if at all. previous starting quarterback Allan Evridge was demoted from second to third string. So this is an offense that has a lot of question marks surrounding it.

Meanwhile, Michigan State's offense is not humming either. Brian Hoyer has been around the 50% mark all year (108 of 213), but at least he's cutting down on his turnovers (just 4 INT's). And Javon Ringer, who had a difficult time against Michigan.

Wisconsin is not the best traveler, having covered one of its last nine games on the road. With more working parts, we'll roll with the Spartans, the 4.5-point favorite in the BetUS NCAA college football sports betting odds.
