Analysis: Maybe it’s me, but I’m genuinely surprised that UNLV is favored in this contest against the high-scoring Hawaii Warriors, particularly after losing at home last week.
While the favorite has gone a spotless 4-0 ATS in their last four meetings, I say throw those trends away and concentrate on some more recent wagering stats as these two teams haven’t met since 2007.
The high-powered Warriors looked phenomenal in putting up 38 points on the road last week and I think they are not only going to cover the spread in this game, but win it outright.
The Warriors have gone 4-1 ATS in their last five games as an underdog and an identical 4-1 ATS in their last five road games.
While the Runnin' Rebels have gone an encouraging 5-1 ATS against a team with a winning record and 4-1 ATS in their last five home games, college football betting enthusiasts should also know that UNLV has gone a dismal 7-19 ATS in their last 26 games as a favorite and just 3-11 ATS in their last 14 games as a home favorite.
Cementing this pick for me is the fact that Hawaii has gone 6-2 ATS in their last eight games against Mountain West Conference opponents.
I also love the Over in this matchup as it has gone 5-1 in Hawaii’s last six games overall and 9-2 in UNLV’s last 11 games as a home favorite.
