NCAAF Week 7 Gambling - Arizona St Sun Devils vs. Southern Cal Trojans
by Mike Rose

Two Pac-10 teams looking to take one more step towards the Rose Bowl will be on display at BetUS Sportsbook this weekend when the Arizona State Sun Devils (2-3, 1-3 ATS) travel to Los Angeles to square off with the Southern California Trojans (3-1, 3-1 ATS).
The Sun Devils were a trendy upset selection against the Trojans when these two teams met up last season, but USC would have none of it, crushing Arizona State 44-24 as slim 3.5-point road favorites. The Trojans have won every meeting between the two teams since 1999, and are 6-2 ATS during that span.
It’s been three very long weeks for Arizona State bettors. Last week, they lost 24-14 to Cal as 9.5-point underdogs, and they have now failed to cover the spread in each of their past three games.
All of the numbers have been depressing for HC Dennis Erickson. His Sun Devils averaged 32.3 points per game last year, but they have only scored a total of 44 points in their last three games combined. No one has successfully filled the shoes of RB Ryan Torain, as they are 114th in the nation in terms of running the ball (85.4 yards per game).
Expect that to continue this week against a USC defense that held Oregon to 1.6 yards per carry last week. The lack of offense has resulted in Sun Devils bettors coming up with three straight losing tickets by an average of 12.8 points per game.
Southern Cal bettors had to be thinking, “Here we go again,” when their Trojans trailed Oregon 10-3 in the beginning of the 2nd quarter. From that point on though, QB Mark Sanchez and USC flexed its muscles, rolling off 41 straight points that ultimately led to the 44-10 obliteration of the “Quack Attack”.
The victory helped take the nasty taste out the Trojans mouths from losing to Oregon State on national television in their previous game. Sanchez and Arkansas transfer Mitch Mustain combined to throw for 452 yards and four scores. Depth for USC at the wide receiver position was apparent, as five different players recorded at least 70 yards receiving. The defense forced two turnovers and held a potent Ducks offense to just 242 yards from scrimmage.
Be careful if you plan on laying the chalk this week. USC is just 3-10 ATS in their L/13 October games. Even though these are two potent offenses, consider adding the ‘under’ to your NCAA betting card this weekend. ASU has gone 15-5 towards the ‘under’ in their L/20 overall, while 13 of its L/16 games in the Coliseum have been of the lower scoring variety. Though last year’s meeting went ‘over’ the ‘total’, the previous two match-ups between USC and ASU went ‘under’.
The NCAA betting odds favor the Trojans by 25-points.
It’s another great week of college football betting action, so whether you prefer betting sides, ‘totals’, or moneylines, be sure to get off of sidelines and get your bets in with BetUS Sportsbook right now!
