College Football Betting – SEC East Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

1: sports betting line by a stunning 22.8 points per game. The biggest difference between this Florida team and last year’s is the defense, which ranks 5th in points per game (11.6) in the rugged SEC.

Next up: Away @ Vanderbilt (5-3)

2: Vanderbilt Commodores (6-2 ATS, 5-3 SU) The Commodores looked set to go bowling for just the fourth time in school history, but now only have four games left to pick up that elusive sixth victory. The offense has been virtually non-existent in their L/4 football betting match-ups, failing to exceed 14 points in any of them. The unit ranks 118th in the NCAA with just 254.6 yards per game, and only averages 21 points per game. That’s bad news against a Florida team that is 11-3 ATS in their L/14 against teams with a winning record.

Next up: Home vs. Florida (7-1)

3: South Carolina Gamecocks (4-3-1 ATS, 6-3 SU) HC Steve Spurrier’s boys have been kind to NCAA football bettors of late, covering three of their L/4 games. It’s all been about the defense for the Gamecocks, which rank 3rd in total yards (250.9), 2nd in passing yards (144.2), and 12th in points per game (15.0). South Carolina has two NCAAF betting trends in their favor this weekend. It is 6-2 ATS in its L/8 games against teams with a winning record, and the favorite in the Arkansas/South Carolina series has covered seven of the L/10 meetings.

Next up: Home vs. Arkansas (4-5)

4: Kentucky Wildcats (4-4 ATS, 6-3 SU) Kentucky has been a pleasant surprise this season, and its win against Mississippi State last week will send the Wildcats bowling for the third straight season. If the Wildcats were to succeed this season, it was going to be on their defense, and my have they responded. The unit ranks in the Top-50 of every major defensive category, and save giving up 63 points to Florida, has only allowed an average of 12 points per game.

Next up: Home vs. Georgia (7-2)

5: Georgia Bulldogs (3-4-1 ATS, 7-2 SU) The Bulldogs have to be licking their wounds from getting pounded by the Gators 49-10 last weekend. It was the fourth loss in five tries for Georgia bettors. The key for the Dawgs is the play of their defense. In games which they allowed 21 or fewer points, they are 6-0. They’re just 1-2 in games where they allowed more than 21. RB Knowshon Moreno has run for 991 yards and 12 touchdowns this season, but it has been a disappointment for a team that was the pre-season #1 team in the nation.

Next up: Away @ Vanderbilt (5-3)

6: Tennessee Volunteers (3-6 ATS, 3-6 SU) Rocky Top was shaken this week by the announcement that HC Phillip Fulmer will not return to Knoxville next season. The Vols have dropped back-to-back football betting decisions, and have failed to exceed 14 points in six of their L/7 games. The offense ranks 115th in the NCAA churning out a paltry 272.2 yards per game, but will look to improve that this weekend against a Wyoming team that ranks 94th in the nation, allowing 30.3 points per game.

Next up: Home vs. Wyoming (3-6)
