Betting NFL Online - NFL Week 9 Betting Review

Week 9 turned a profit for BetUS NFL odds betting underdog investors with nine puppies barking in the 14 games slated. Total players watched the week play out to an O/U record of 5-8-1. Certainly not lopsided numbers but overall the dogs and under were the modest money-makers.

You could tell it was Halloween weekend when Jacksonville (5-3 SU, 2-6 ATS), who's covered the number just once in its last five games.

I guess Ocho Cinco's two touchdown catches which matched his total in the first eight games makes kissing anyone ok. By the way, that's the second time this season he's kissed coach Lewis. Maybe Ocho Cinco should ''hook up'' with Pacman and go deep?

The Bills (5-3 SU, ATS) in the division standings with a 26-16 win over its interstate AFC East foes. Buffalo has lost three of four and lost all the momentum it had generated following a 4-0 start and has now dropped the cash in back-to-back games. The Bills are falling flat on its face due in part to quarterback Trent Edwards, who went 24-of-35 for 289 with a touchdown, two interceptions and a fumble.

Brett Favre wasn't any better, throwing for 201 yards and his 300th career pick. Considering he's 73 years old and been in the league 52 years, 300 interceptions isn't too bad. At any rate, the ageless gunslinger has his team very much in place for a division title hunt.

Pro Bowler left the field with Browns fans screaming “Bra-dy! Bra-dy!” for popular backup Brady Quinn, following an interception that was returned for a touchdown in the final minutes, prompting Browns fans chants.

Coach Romeo Crennel heard the chants loud and clear, as Quinn will be under center against Denver on Thursday. Hey Quinn, don't rely too heavily on Braylon Edwards who's dropped an NFL-most 13 balls. Edwards’ drop of a certain long touchdown early in the fourth quarter with the score tied on Sunday has to have the Dawg Pound wondering if the proper player is being benched.

Rex Grossman came off the bench to replace injured quarterback Kyle Orton and scored the go-ahead touchdown with 5:36 left, helping Detroit (0-8 SU, 3-5 ATS). No surprise there but it was a shocker to hear reports Daunte Culpepper has agreed to a two-year deal with the Lions and said Monday he would sign after taking a physical and likely will be the starting quarterback Sunday against Jacksonville at Ford Field. Orton has been undergoing tests on his right ankle to determine the extent of his injury, and it’s likely the Bears will be without him for the next few weeks.

In a game of who won, who cares? Houston (3-5 SU, 2-4 ATS). Texans' quarterback Matt Schaub injured his medial collateral ligament when he was hit in the knee by Jared Allen in the second quarter and will be out at least two weeks, possibly up to a month.

Kansas City (1-7 SU, 4-4 ATS) 30-27 in the biggest comeback in team history. The Chiefs led 24-3 just before halftime and seemed headed for just their second victory in more than a calendar year. But Kansas City being Kansas City, they blew it. The Bucs' win sends them into their bye week just a half-game behind Carolina in the NFC South.

St. Louis (2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS) for only the second victory in five road games to solidify its NFC West lead. The Rams have lost two straight after winning their first two games under new coach Jim Haslett. The Cardinals have won four in a row in St. Louis, their home from 1960-87, and four straight versus the Rams overall.

Tennessee (8-0 SU, 7-1 ATS) 390-347 in total offense, but the Titans remained perfect with a 19-16 OT win despite failing to cover the spread for the first time all season. It took a little extra time and luck to stay unbeaten. After missing the would be game winning field in the final seconds of regulation, which clanked off the left upright, Rob Bironas got a second chance and made good on it, kicking a 41-yard field goal with 9:36 to go for the win. Off to an 8-0 start for the first time in franchise history, the Titans will be on the road for five of their final eight games.

In two late afternoon Games of the ''Weak'', (4-4 SU, 1-6-1 ATS), 26-17, as the Broncos lost for the fourth time in five games as NFL's biggest money-shredders of the year and fell to 1-9-1 ATS versus teams under ..500.

And visiting NFL betting tab his Raiders have stuck him with by going 9-20 ATS in their last 29 games overall.

Eli Manning threw three touchdown passes, Brandon Jacobs rushed for 117 yards and a score, as the Dallas (5-4 SU, 3-6 ATS). The G-Men's 'D' took advantage of the absence of the injured Tony Romo to intercept three passes in winning their fifth straight at home. The loss was the third in four games for Dallas, which fell into last place in the division.

Seattle 26-7 (2-6 SU, 3-5 ATS), in prep for their big game with the conference-leading Giants this Sunday night in Philly. Donovan McNabb continued his strong play, rebounding from early struggles to finish 28-of-43 while passing for 349 yards and two touchdowns. The Eagles improved to 7-2 ATS in their last nine NFC matchups. Seattle lost for the third time in four home games and is three games out of first place with eight games remaining.

Sunday Night Football capped off a great day of sports betting action with a game that carried big stakes. New England (5-3 SU, 4-4 ATS). The non-cover win drops Indy to 1-5 ATS in their last six home games. Colts' 36-year-old kicker Adam Vinatieri hit a 52-yarder late in the game, showing his former mates he's still got game. The kick was his longest since a 57-yarder made in 2002 and it was huge, with Indy just trying to stay in the postseason picture, that put New England in a three-way tie with the Jets and Bills atop the AFC East. The Pats are now 4-10 ATS in their last 14 games overall.

Washington (6-2 SU, 5-4 ATS) on Monday Night Football to beat an NFC East team for the first time in three attempts this season. However, the win could prove costly as Ben Roethlisberger couldn't continue in the second half due to a right shoulder injury sustained late in the first half.

Washington native Byron Leftwich came on at halftime and led two touchdown drives in the Steelers’ win. Roethlisberger was 5-of-17 for 50 yards and an interception, while Leftwich went 7-of-10 for 129 yards and a touchdown. Roethlisberger underwent an MRI exam Tuesday, but Pittsburgh won’t know if he can play Sunday against the Colts until results are examined.

The Steelers remain atop the AFC North, and the Redskins lost ground to the Giants in the NFC East. Washington enters its bye week needing to work on their struggles to score touchdowns following long drives into the red zone.

Week 10 Bye Teams: Cincinnati, Dallas, Tampa Bay and Washington.
