Jets need a QB

The New York Jets need a quarterback bad, really bad, really really bad. Their loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Monday night was a clear indication that the ONLY thing they need is a QB. Their running game is good, their linebacker crew is golden and their secondary is terrific.

Watching Vinny Testaverde fumble more than once in the first quarter versus the Falcons, and then watching Brooks Bollinger come in and suck it up was brutal. This was supposed to be the year of the Jets. They had everything going for them. Oh well, all down the drain with a 2-5 record.

I think it’s painfully obvious that Chad Pennington will never be the QB the team wants him to be. His arm isn’t strong enough and his durability is just not proven. It’s time for the team to look to the 2006 draft and pick a new rear pivot, a franchise player that will be there for years to come. No more aging quarterbacks, no more never-will-be’s, no more injury-prone average quarterbacks.

New York needs a change and they need it now. Tank the rest of the season and let’s get something golden in the draft.

That’s all I got to say. Anyone disagree? Bring it.
