Watching Vinny Testaverde fumble more than once in the first quarter versus the Falcons, and then watching Brooks Bollinger come in and suck it up was brutal. This was supposed to be the year of the Jets. They had everything going for them. Oh well, all down the drain with a 2-5 record.
I think it’s painfully obvious that Chad Pennington will never be the QB the team wants him to be. His arm isn’t strong enough and his durability is just not proven. It’s time for the team to look to the 2006 draft and pick a new rear pivot, a franchise player that will be there for years to come. No more aging quarterbacks, no more never-will-be’s, no more injury-prone average quarterbacks.
That’s all I got to say. Anyone disagree? Bring it.
