NFL - Brady Quinn Fined for Chop Block on Suggs
by Tim Furious

Ravens Defense Fired Up With Injury to Suggs
As if the Ravens needed any more reason to be angry. Monday Night Football betting matchup against the Ravens 0-16, threw a chop block after he threw a pass that was picked off by Chris Carr. The target of Brady’s wrath was Terrell Suggs. The result was a slightly torn MCL and up to five weeks of rehab for the combination defensive-end of the Baltimore Ravens.
Ray Lewis, the captain of the Ravens and the leader of their feared defense, has come out firing that Quinn should have to pay a huge fine and that the league has to take care of its players. In the replay, it’s obvious that Quinn is trying to get to Carr, but with Suggs in the way he carelessly through himself at Suggs’ knees. Even Shaun Phillips of the Chargers blasted Quinn, stating that he should pay at least a $50,000 fine. At 6-foot-3 and 260 pounds, Suggs’ knee will take significant time to heal.
The injury comes at an increasingly bad time for the Ravens who host the Colts and Steelers in the next two weeks. After that, they visit Lambeau Field to take on the Packers before closing out the season against the Lions, Bears, Steelers and Raiders in that order. They’re just 5-4 SU this season though they’re 6-3 ATS in terms of NFL football betting.
The seventh ranked Baltimore defense allows just 302.8 yards per game and ranked fifth in points against with 17.1 allowed per game. Suggs is an integral part of their base 3-4 defense and serves as a linebacker and a defensive end. He’s a freakish athlete, and serves as both a solid coverage guy and a quarterback killer. This time, however, it’s Suggs that got murdered by a quarterback.
Quinn has been handed a hefty fine by the NFL, but the exact amount hasn’t been disclosed. No matter how many dollars he’s had to pay the league, Quinn has cost the Ravens an irreplaceable element of their defense as they face two of the best offenses in the league. You can’t put a price tag on that no matter how much the fine is.
