NFL Dog House - Week 11's Poor Performers

As sports bettors, we're entitled to get upset at individual coaches, certain players, ridiculous play calls, or entire organizations for costing us wins against the NFL point spreads that we so desperately deserved. Here's what I'm ranting on after watching the football betting affairs from Week 9.

QB Jay Cutler, Chicago Bears: Way to go Cutler! Another fantastic game! Even though at the time, you were 29/51 for 307 yards with no touchdowns and four picks, you still had a chance to save your skin and lead your 4-4 Bears to victory and pick up a very-much-so undeserved cover. But no, you threw your fifth pick of the day in the end zone to seal the deal. That's 14 touchdowns, 17 picks, and only four wins for your team this year. Inevitably, you're going to cost a lot of people their jobs this offseason.

QBs Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick, Buffalo Bills: The Bills may or may not have actually been able to cover the spread on Sunday against the Titans after falling behind 27-17 with 3:23 to play. But after Edwards threw a pick six and then Fitzpatrick pulled off an identical stunt, there was absolutely no hope. The cries for JP Losman have to be coming from Buffalo right now, as Losman has had a fantastic season in the UFL while Edwards and Fitzpatrick have made a mockery out of the no-huddle offense in spite of the fact that they have a fantastic set of receivers.

HC Tom Cable for waiting so long to pull QB JaMarcus Russell: Let's be realistic here... It's really hard to believe that Russell is ever going to make it in Oakland. It's time to consider him a 100% bust, cut the losses, and move on. The former LSU Tiger, who was the #1 pick in 2007’s NFL Draft, went 9/24 for 67 yards with an interception before getting benched. At least backup Bruce Gradkowski put the silver and black in a position to win before he threw the pick that ended the game against the Chiefs. It was the seventh game this season in which Russell didn't reach 130 passing yards overall, and he has yet to complete more than 64% of his passes in a game this year. B-U-S-T, Bust Bust Bust!!!

The offensive line of the QB Tony Romo, who took a ton of hits and looked lost at times trying to figure out where the blitz was coming from. The Packers racked up five sacks and a number of hurries, which earned them a 17-7 victory to stick around in the crowded NFC for the chase at the playoffs.
