NFL Friday Betting Update - It’s a Watershed Week for the Cowboys

Three NFL pre-season favorites are currently reeling after serious losses. The San Diego Chargers dropped their fourth game of the season last Sunday at Buffalo. The New Orleans Saints dropped their fourth game of the season last Sunday against the Carolina Panthers. The Dallas Cowboys dropped their third game in a row last Sunday against the St. Louis Rams.

All three teams will be trying to get themselves back on the winner’s track this Sunday. For NFL betting fans, making an online wager on any of the three teams could prove futile.

New Orleans Saints - - The Saints are receiving 3 ½ points in the BetUS online sportsbook for this London game. The Saints and Chargers look like the same team. Both teams have very good offenses. Neither team can stop anybody from getting into the end zone. Because of that, I’m sticking with my initial opinion. I like this game to go over the BetUS total of 45 points.

Dallas Cowboys - - At least the ‘Boys are at home for this one. Talk about a team on the downswing! The Cowboys have lost three games in a row. What’s more disturbing is there inability on defense to stop the running game. It just so happens that Jon Gruden, Tampa’s coach, believes in running the ball. I like the ‘Boys to drop their fourth game in a row. I see Tampa winning this straight-up on the BetUS money line at + 110.

New England Patriots - - The news regarding Tom Brady that broke today has to be disheartening. Brady isn’t close to returning. Oh, well. I guess Matt Cassel will have to continue to improve. The Rams have been playing spectacular defense the past couple of weeks and the Patriots are going to find it difficult to stop the Rams’ running game. I’m not going to say that the Rams are a lock on the money line at + 260 but I am going to say that the Rams beat the BetUS online wagering spread of 7 ½ points.

Pittsburgh Steelers - - I see an opportunity for online betting fans to make a sizable profit in this game. The Steelers have been winning on sheer guts and heart. The Giants have a better offense than Pittsburgh does and a very good defense. A money line upset online wager looks to be in the cards on the New York Giants at + 130 in the BetUS online sportsbook.

Tennessee Titans - - The Titans are 6 and 0 straight-up and 6 and 0 against the BetUS online wagering spread. It makes no sense to even consider an online bet on the Colts in this game. Why? Because what does Tennessee do very well? They run the ball. What do the Colts not do well at all? Stop the run. The Titans are favored by 4 ½ points. This should be an easy one for BetUS online sportsbook betting fans.
