NFL Week 10 Preview - Colts vs. Patriots is the Game of the Week

NFL Week Preview: Colts vs. Patriots Highlight Week 10
The Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots once again take the field in another meaningful game.
The Colts are undefeated and seemingly on their way to the top seed in the AFC Conference Playoffs, but the mighty Patriots are 6 and 2 and have won 3 in a row including taking down the previously undefeated in the AFC East Miami Dolphins last week.
It was a workmanlike victory for the Pats who unleashed wide receiver Randy Moss for 6 catches for 147 yards and a touchdown. Brady and Moss appear to be on the same page. That is not a good thing for the Colts who will be without starting cornerback Marlin Jackson.
Indianapolis needed Kris Brown to miss a last second field goal in order to beat the Houston Texans last Sunday 20 to 17. After tearing through the league with a 5 and 1 record ATS in the NFL sportsbook in their first 6 games of the season, the Colts have now dropped their last two.
Indianapolis just hasn’t looked as sharp in their last two games as they did in their first six. New England, who is a 3 point underdog in the early wagering, figure to try and exploit that on defense by blitzing Manning and taking away his only real weapon, wide receiver Reggie Wayne.
The face that the Colts are without one of their top cover corners means that New England has a better than good chance of ending the Colts’ unbeaten streak.
Bengals vs. Steelers Suddenly the Most Important AFC North Game of the Year
The Cincinnati Bengals travel to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in what has become the most important game of the year in the AFC North.
Both the Bengals and Steelers are 6 and 2 on the season, two games head of Baltimore and five games ahead of the Cleveland Browns. The winner of the Bengals vs. Steelers game this coming Sunday is going to be the favorite to win the AFC North title. The other team will be one of he favorites to get an AFC Wildcard.
Both teams look good going into this key matchup.
The Bengals thwarted one of the best offenses in the NFL in the Baltimore Ravens last week, holding QB Joe Flacco and the Ravens to only 7 points in a 17 to 7 victory.
The Steelers looked really impressive on Monday night, traveling to the Mile High City and handing the Denver Broncos their second loss of the season, 21 to 10.
The interesting thing about this matchup is that the Steelers are the offensive passing powerhouse, averaging over 266 yards per game through the air, while the Bengals are the running team averaging 130 yards per game on the ground.
Expect Pitt to end up as a 3 ½ to 4 ½ point favorite in this game.
Can San Diego Beat Yet Another NFC East Team?
The NFL schedulers weren’t so kind to the Chargers but after upsetting the New York Giants 21 to 20 last Sunday, they’ll get another crack at taking down an NFC East giant this Sunday.
San Diego hosts the inconsistent Philadelphia Eagles this Sunday in a game that will go a long way in determining whether or not each team makes the playoffs.
With a chance to wrestle away sole possession of the NFC East lead, the Eagles were upset by the Dallas Cowboys at home 16 to 20 last week. Now, they have to take on the brilliant Phillip Rivers and the Chargers who have won three in a row and are chomping at the bit to take over 1st place in the AFC West.
It’s not a good matchup for the Eagles who have given up 311 passing yards to Drew Brees and 282 passing yards to Tony Romo this season.
Rivers averages over 267 yards per game. He could seriously exploit that Eagles secondary. San Diego is a 1 point favorite but expect that line to move to around Chargers -2 ½ by kick-off.
Thursday Night Football is Back
The NFL Network kicks off their Thursday night game broadcasts with what has turned into a rather meaningless game, the Chicago Bears vs. the San Francisco 49’ers.
The 49’ers have lost four in a row after beating the St. Louis Rams 35 to 0 in Week 4. The Chicago Bears have lost 3 out of their last 4 with their only victory coming against the hapless Cleveland Browns two weeks ago.
Neither team is all that good and betting wise the game is a toss up even though the Niners are 3 point home favorites.
Dallas Must Be Careful Against the Packers at Lambeau
The Dallas Cowboys are in first place in the NFC East, having won four games in a row, including three against the spread. QB Tony Romo has been excellent of late and the ‘Boys will get a chance to prove just how good they are as they travel to Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers.
It won’t be an easy game for the Cowboys who might face harsh weather conditions. They’re also going to face a very desperate Green Bay team who suddenly is 4 and 4 on the season.
The Packers are 3 point home dogs in this game but because the Cowboys have been flying high, and are due for a let down, Green Bay might be a good NFL moneyline bet waiting to happen.
