NFL Week 10 Prime Time Players
by Mike Rose

In Week 10 on the gridiron, several players stepped up and made the difference for their team in covering the football betting lines. BetUS presents the list of the players that had the biggest impact on beating the NFL pointspread last week...
RB Chris Johnson, Tennessee Titans: If there's any way that the Titans get back into the playoff picture, QB Vince Young is going to get a ton of accolades, but the real rewards should go to the East Carolina product. Johnson rushed the ball 26 times for 132 yards and two scores against a poor Buffalo rush defense, but he also did a ton of damage through the air, racking up nine catches for 100 yards. He already has almost as many total yards this season (1,353) as he did in his entire rookie season when he won Offensive Rookie of the Year (1,488), and he is just one touchdown shy as well. Last year, we might've been calling Johnson the ROY, but this year, we may be calling him the MVP.
DE Andre Carter and LB Brian Orakpo, Washington Redskins: The Skins' defense stepped up in a big way on Sunday and pulled off the mild upset of the Broncos. Both Carter and Orakpo recorded a sack and a half apiece, and the duo was simply all over both QB Kyle Orton and his backup, Chris Simms. Orton only went 11/18 for 193 yards before departing with an ankle injury, but Simms was particularly frazzled under the pressure, going just 3/13 for 13 yards with an interception. If Washington can get more play like this from its defense, maybe HC Jim Zorn can save his job.
DB Charles Woodson, Green Bay Packers: Woodson may never be a Hall of Famer, but the former Heisman Trophy winner has had a heck of a career. He proved that he's still got it once again on Sunday against the Cowboys when he was the catalyst for a defense that nearly pitched a shutout. Woodson recorded a sack off the corner, forced a pair of fumbles that were both recovered by the boys in green, and picked off a pass. Not only that, but he led the team in tackles with 7.5 and probably sold popcorn while the offense was on the field. QB Tony Romo only completed 24 of his 39 passes for 251 yards on the day, but a lot of those stats came in garbage time when the Packers were playing prevent defense. He was visibly frustrated all day long, and Woodson was a big part of that frustration.
QB Peyton Manning, Indianapolis Colts: Manning gets an assist from New England HC Bill Belichick on this one. The Tennessee product was a hero yet again for the Colts, as he hooked up with WR Reggie Wayne on a touchdown strike with just seconds remaining to give Indy a very improbably 35-34 come-from-behind victory over the Patriots on Sunday Night Football. Manning uncharacteristically threw a few ducks in the game, but leading his team to 21 of the final 24 points of the game and throwing for 327 yards and four scores is more than enough to make him a PTPer in our book any day.
