NFL Power Rankings Week 11
by Al Simmons

Many teams are limping into week 11 of the NFL.
Starting at running back: Cedric Benson and Michael Turner both sprained their ankles, Brian Westbrook is thinking retirement, Portis is still seeing stars. Ronnie Wildcat Brown is limping on a bum foot.
In Denver, QB Kyle Orton is questionable with an injured leg. If he can’t go then can the Broncos rely on Chris Simms? Probably not.
NFL defenses are also hurting. Steeler safety Troy Polamalu re-injured his knee and may have to be shut down for the season. Saints’ Porter sprained his MCL joining Sharper in a decimated New Orleans’ D.
With all of those injuries the next few weeks will be very interesting in the NFL.
NFL Power Rankings Week 11:
1. New Orleans Saints: the Saints have looked very human in the last few weeks.
2. Indianapolis Colts: without Peyton, this team would be worse than the Lions…that is how important it is to have a smart QB.
3. Minnesota Vikings: this team is on cruise control until the playoffs.
4. Cincinnati Bengals: season sweep of the Ravens and Steelers in the same year, these guys are the REAL DEAL.
5. New England Patriots: with as many rings as he has, Belichick does NOT have to defend his coaching.
6. Pittsburgh Steelers: can they repeat without Polamalu.
7. Arizona Cardinals: with rookie RB Beanie Wells do they need Anquan?
8. San Diego Chargers: LT found out his wife is pregnant and ran for almost a hundred yards and 2 TDs, could this be the motivation he needs to carry the Bolts to Tampa Bay.
9. Dallas Cowboys: they can’t run it consistently, they can’t throw it consistently…don’t even get me started on their D.
10. Denver Broncos: three straight losses + Orton being hurt, doesn’t look good for the Bronco Nation.
11. Philadelphia Eagles: Eagles D may be overrated, but McNabb isn’t
12. Houston Texans: coming off a bye week, lets see if they can keep winning without TE Owens.
13. Atlanta Falcons: Matt Ryan is making the mistakes he didn’t do on his rookie year.
14. Baltimore Ravens: a scoreless tie against the lowly Browns at half time?
15. New York Giants: is a bye week enough for the G-Men to find their winning ways?
16. Green Bay Packers: they beat a confused Dallas team.
17. Jacksonville Jaguars: when the only star on your team takes a knee over scoring an easy TD, you know you have a winning team.
18. Tennessee Titans: Vince Young is the Kerry Collins from last year and Bud Selig is FLIPPING happy.
19. Carolina Panthers: Delhomme has stopped making mistakes, Steve Smith is finding the end zone and the Panther start winning.
20. Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins beat a NFC team for the first time in three tries this season, but may have lost Wildcat Ronnie Brown in the process.
21. New York Jets: Mark Sanchez now has 11 turnovers in his last six games.
22. San Francisco 49ers: the 49ers embarrassed Cutler and Lovie.
23. Chicago Bears: see above.
24. Buffalo Bills: its back to the TO we love to hate. This may be his last year in the league.
25. Seattle Seahawks: The Seahawks have lost five straight road games.
26. Washington Redskins: Washington scored 13 unanswered points in the fourth quarter to snap a four-game losing streak, but with Portis seeing stars they might not win another game this year.
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Kellen Winslow is becoming rookie Josh Freeman favorite target as they almost beat the Dolphins. This team is actually getting better every week. Can’t wait to see what they do when WR Antonio Bryant comes back.
28. Kansas City Chiefs: 1 for 15 on third downs and they still won… of course it was against Oakland
29. Oakland Raiders: JaMarcus Russell is not an NFL caliber QB…not sure if this is because lack of commitment or lack of skill.
30. Detroit Lions: The Lions lost their 17th straight road game.
31. St. Louis Rams: Things are slowly looking better for this team, Bulger, Avery and Jackson are finally starting to show how good they really are.
32. Cleveland Browns: Fire Mangini and send Quinn to the CFL.
