NFL Week 6 Betting Odds - New York Giants vs. Cleveland Browns
by Mike Rose

Monday Night Football is back and BetUS has all of the action covered for sports bettors when the Super Bowl champion New York Giants (4-0, 3-1 ATS) put their perfect record on the line when they take on the Cleveland Browns (1-3, 2-2 ATS). These teams have only met twice since the Browns came back into existence, with the G-Men dominating the match-ups. New York is 2-0 SU and ATS, beating the Browns by a combined score of 51-13.
In defense of their Super Bowl crown, the Giants haven’t just been beating teams - they’ve been murdering them! Last Sunday was the beatdown of all beatdowns, as New York clobbered the hapless Seahawks 44-6.
QB Eli Manning had another great outing, going 19 for 25 for 267 yards and two touchdowns, even though his star WR Plaxico Burress was suspended. WR Domenik Hixon stepped in admirably, grabbing four balls for 102 yards and the game’s opening touchdown. RB Brandon Jacobs continued being a workhorse, toting the rock 15 times for a season-high 136 yards and two touchdowns.
They held Seattle to just 187 total yards. It all added up to a dominating victory, providing yet another winning ticket for Giants bettors, who only had to lay seven points for the ‘W’.
It’s been an awfully disappointing season so far for HC Romeo Crennel and the Browns. They finally got the donut out of the win column two weeks ago when they knocked off the Bengals 20-12 in Cincinnati.
For an offense that ranked 8th in the NFL last year averaging a shade over 25 points per game, this season has been awful. The Browns have yet to score three touchdowns in a game this season, and they’re averaging nearly two touchdowns per game less than they did in ’07. Nobody on Cleveland’s once potent offense has scored more than one touchdown on the year.
They rank dead last in the NFL with 210.8 yards per game and second to last with 11.5 points per game. Cleveland doesn’t rank higher than 25th in any major offensive category. The oddsmakers are expecting a blowout in this one, as the Giants are favored by a whopping nine-points at Cleveland Browns Stadium.
Both teams have strong NFL betting trends on their side, as New York is 20-7 ATS in their L/27 road games, while the Browns are 8-1 ATS in their L/9 home games. Since 2004, the Giants are 2-3 SU and 3-2 ATS against AFC North opponents, but are 2-1 ATS on the road against the division. If there’s one thing going against the Browns, it’s their track record against the NFC East. They only have one victory in eight games against NFC East opponents, but are a more respectable 3-5 ATS.
