NFL Week 17 Betting - UNDER Power Poll

Bookmark and Share by Mike Rose

NFL point spreads have been tightening up throughout the league, but BetUS.com's NFL handicapping expert’s keep you in the know with this week's 'under' power poll...

1: Houston Texans (10-4-1) (LW: 1) A push on the 'total' wasn't what 'under' bettors hoped for against the NFL point spread on Sunday afternoon in Land Shark Stadium. However, considering the fact that Houston raced out to a 27-0 lead in the first half, those bettors were lucky to salvage that push.

Up Next: Home vs. Patriots (46)

2: New England Patriots (10-4-1) (LW: 3) If New England can get consistent defense like this, it is going to be a very tough team to take out of the playoffs. The Pats don't have much to play for this week at Reliant Stadium though, and the end result may be HC Bill Belichick laying down his arms to try to help set up a Houston/New England first round playoff battle.

Up Next: Away @ Texans (46)

3: Chicago Bears (10-5) (LW: 2) Bears fans got a late Christmas present on Monday night when they knocked Minnesota out of the #2 hole in the playoffs for the time being. Still, NFL handicapping experts have to be gritting their teeth every time QB Jay Cutler drops back to pass.

Up Next: Away @ Lions (45)

4: Arizona Cardinals (10-5) (LW: 5) In a year where 'unders' have really ruled the day, the Cardinals continue flirting with numbers quite closely. This has been a hard team to tab all year, but one thing is now for certain. A win and some help will give Arizona an extra week off before the divisional round of the playoffs.

Up Next: Home vs. Packers (43.5)

5: San Francisco 49ers (10-5) (LW: 7) The 49ers won't make the playoffs, but the fight to get to .500 is an important one for a young franchise. The 20-6 win against Detroit sewed up a fifth straight 'under' game. There's a good chance that continues this weekend in St. Louis. The Niners have the second fewest points allowed in the NFC.

Up Next: Away @ Rams (40.5)

6: Denver Broncos (9-6) (LW: 4) As Denver's defense continues to sputter, so goes its season. The Broncos are about to pull off a tremendous feat. They're quite possibly going to go from 6-0 to 8-8 and out of the playoffs. Even a win won't guarantee anything, as the Jets and Ravens both control their own destinies.

Up Next: Home vs. Chiefs (38)

7: Carolina Panthers (9-6) (LW: 6) Don't fault the Panthers' defense for last week's 'over'. Blame an offense which put up a whopping 41 points! Look at the silver lining here, though. This means there will probably be at least one more year of HC John Fox in Carolina!

Up Next: Home vs. Saints (OTB)

8: Cleveland Browns (9-6) (LW: 8) The Browns put together another strong showing on Sunday, albeit against the Raiders. The defense has started to show a pulse in recent weeks, which could be a good sign for a team that has almost no known talent on either side of the ball going into 2010.

Up Next: Home vs. Jaguars (37.5)
