NFL Week Six Wagering - Jacksonville Jaguars vs. Denver Broncos
by Mike Rose

Two teams vying for playoff positioning early in the season hook up in the “Mile High City” on Sunday afternoon, and BetUS NFL betting line that saw Denver close as three-point home favorites. Since Jacksonville came into the league, the teams are knotted at 4-4 SU and ATS.
The Jags were featured on NBC’s Sunday Night Football telecast in a Week 5 betting affair against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Jacksonville opened up -3, but closed as five-point selections. Sports bettors who jacked that line up were bitterly disappointed by the home teams effort against the beat up Steelers. The Jags were briefly ahead of the closing line at 14-7 in the 1st quarter, but never seriously had a chance to cash a winning ticket for Jacksonville bettors.
The normally reliable rushing game for the Jags was miserable against a stout Steelers front seven. RBs Fred Taylor and Maurice Jones-Drew only mustered 26 yards on 15 carries. In their L/2 games, the two stud backs have only averaged 2.6 yards per carry. Things weren’t any better for the J’Ville ‘D’, as Pittsburgh rolled up 405 yards of total offense and allowed backup RB Mewelde Moore to run roughshod on them, racking up 99 yards on the ground.
QB Ben Roethlisberger’s third touchdown pass of the game came with under 2:00 to go and gave the Steelers the 26-21 outright road victory.
Denver outplayed the Bucs for the mass majority of their game last weekend, but couldn’t put the nail in the coffin for football bettors who laid the 3.5-points. As a result, a late Bucs touchdown hammered the backdoor cover down for Tampa Bay even though Denver won the game by a 16-13 final count.QB Jay Cutler had an efficient game against a tremendous Bucs defense, going 23-of-34 for 227 yards and a touchdown, but more importantly, no interceptions. He’s now thrown for 1,501 yards on the season, and remains an early candidate for Most Valuable Player honors.
Even though it had an off game against the Bucs, the Denver offense still ranks first in the AFC at 415 yards per game. Jacksonville has had a sparkling run against AFC West opponents of late, covering the spread by an average of 12 points per game its L/4 tries; all victories and covers. The Broncos haven’t had any luck against the AFC South either, as they are 1-4 SU and ATS in their L/5 games. A play on Jacksonville must be considered for your NFL betting card this weekend.Denver has been tabbed as 3.5-point favorites against the Jags with the ‘total’ sitting at a lofty 48.
