Steelers in a Must Win but Ravens Might Coast

The Pittsburgh Steelers are reeling like Cowboys parlay against the BetUS online betting spread on Sunday.
They looked absolutely awful when losing to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday. It was the second game in a row where the mighty Steelers’ offense couldn’t move the ball and get it into the end zone. They lost last Sunday’s game to the Eagles 15 to 6.
The Steelers are a team loaded on offense. How they could only score six points against an Eagles defense that gave up over forty to the Cowboys in week two and another twenty-four to the Chicago Bears just this past Sunday night is not a good sign. I mean, the Ravens have a better defense than the Eagles. What’s going to happen on Monday night?
Let’s find out!
Monday Night Preview: Pittsburgh Steelers
The BetUS Sportsbook online betting spread is 5 points in favor of the Steelers. The BetUS over/under is 34 points.
First, the online wagering spread is out of whack. The Ravens are closer to the Steelers than most online NFL betting fans realize. Even though the Ravens start a rookie quarterback in Joe Flaaco, they have a very good running back tandem on offense in Willis McGahee and rookie Ray Rice. That takes pressure off of Flaaco.
Their defense is also very, very good. The Ravens have only given up twenty points in their two games this season. They spotted the Cincinnati Bengals 17 to 10.
What’s going on with Pittsburgh? Is it too early to sound the alarms? Maybe not, but I do see huge holes in this teams’ defensive and offensive schemes. Against the betting spread, the Steelers are only 1 and 2 this season which makes them an iffy proposition to cover five points against an excellent defensive team with a terrific running game. The Steelers’ defensive will start a hobbling Troy Polamalu and the offense will be without starting RB Willie Parker.
I have to side with the Ravens against the BetUS online betting spread in this one. I’ll take Baltimore at + 5.
Against the BetUS online over/under wagering spread, I might have to go over. The over/under is 34 points – 110 over and – 110 under. Even though I do believe that the Ravens have a terrific defense, these two teams usually light up the scoreboard when they meet each other. Not only is the over 10 and 4 in the last 14 meetings between these two teams but it’s also 6 and 1 in the last 7 meetings between these two teams in Pittsburgh.
I’ll have to make an online bet in this game between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens to go over 34 points.
Good Luck!
