Super Bowl Sunday

The Super Bowl is upon us. It feels like it was just yesterday we were watching the warm up games waiting for the show to start and 6 months later here we are again. There is a lot to be said for the time we wait in between seasons, that's what makes it so special. We truly appreciate football.

If you are like me, an old rock n roller, then roll the Doors through your mind, or Apocalypse Now. Remember the song? This is the end, my only friend the end... Now that you will be singing that to yourself over the next few hours I have done my job of getting into your head.

Now let me go even further into your collective psyche. I know that 9 out of 10 people that read this will be laughing and taking the Patriots, but don't start laughing until the night falls Sunday just as long as you stand by me. There will be a lot of people on the other side of the fence wondering what went wrong. Not me. Not the people that follow me.

This has been a great football season of course with all the ups and downs we have come to expect in an NFL season. Thank you for allowing me into your homes, offices and, wherever else you might visit the BETUS.com website. I will be here through March Madness and deep into the Dog Days of summer and then guess what? It's time for the NFL again.

I will recap the game on Monday and sadly enough that will be my last NFL article until those 2 article days in the preseason.

New England Patriots -7 (16-2) Vs Philadelphia Eagles (15-3)

There has been so much hype and applause for the Great Patriots and their swami Bill and Magic Tom that this team can't lose right? Wrong! I for one am probably in the minority on this like the Eagles. That's right the EAGLES. People have been ready to give the Vince Lombardi to the Great Team from New England. They are about to rename it Bill B. Vince. This game will be played out there on the field in Jax and don't be surprised if the birds fly high here. This isn't going to be a Boston Tea Party.

Philly has all the tools to win and the extra no respect factor. I am sure Andy Reid is telling his team how lucky they are that no one notices them even being here. No pressure. There was more pressure on Paris Hilton in her video then on the Eagles.

The Eagles will come after Tom Brady harder than Tara Reid. They will rattle him, the Freak will get to him. Jeremiah Trotter will wait for Corey Dillon and the secondary will be there waiting for the mistake that Tom has to make sooner or later.

On the other side of the ball the key will be for McNabb to minimize his mistakes and take what is given. Westbrook will have to rush for over 90 yards and the receivers including The Construction guy will have to make some plays. T.O will play and give his team a boost emotionally. Does anyone here recall Willis Reed!!!!
