THE OVERVIEW

Overall W 14 - L 5

Last Week W 2 - L 1

We are staying ahead of the curve here with these 2-1 weeks so lets go take a look at this week in the NFL. Look at all the surprises this year in the NFL. Who would have thought that at the halfway point the Chargers would be 5-3? The Jets 6-1? The Giants 5-2? The Chiefs 3-4? Carolina 1-6? That's just a few of them. Look around there are so many others. It's now time to see who the pretenders are and of course who are the contenders. This is why we wait 8 months in between seasons. The excitement is building so buckle up for the 2nd half of the season. Its going to be a crazy ride !!!!

Week Nine

Steelers PK vs. Eagles

We are quickly running out of words describing Big Ben. He will come out of this year known as the best QB not taken first. The Steelers in the off-season in my opinion made a great move picking up the Duce. He has done a great job and given the Bus the rest he needs to stay fresh and score from in close. I always thought that given the ball at the goal line the Bus could take it in. However he has always had to carry the full load. That is not the case this year. Along with that and the emergence of Big Ben the Steelers have reestablished themselves as a team to beat. This week the Steelers end another streak.

Take the Steelers in the pick while you can this line is bound to change

Jets - 3 vs. Bills

Both teams are coming off impressive wins against bad football teams. The Jets are 6-1 and the Bills are heading in the wrong direction. This is a big test for the Jets. On the road and in a place where they don't particularly play well however, this is a different Jets team and with a healthy Pennington and a line that is protecting him and opening up lines for the future Hall Of Famer Curtis Martin I look for the Jets to take this one.

Take the Jets and lay the 3

Broncos -6 1/2 vs. Texans

The Broncs have had their share of problems the last few weeks and you can BET that Shanahan will have them ready for the much improved Texans. The Texans seem to play well against good teams at home but struggle on the road. Look for the Broncos to give the locals something to cheer for

Take the Broncos and lay the points.
