Fantasy Football Week 6 Waiver Wire Pickups
by Al Simmons

Bye weeks are starting to hurt a lot of Fantasy Football teams. NFL week 6 has Dallas, Indianapolis, Miami and San Francisco on bye-weeks.
So if you have Peyton, Reggie Wayne, Tony Romo or Ronnie Brown on your fantasy teams here are a few players you might want to pick up on your fantasy football waiver wire.
QB Kyle Orton, Broncos: Orton has 1 interception all season and came just before half time on a hail mary pass against the Patriots this week, so you can’t really blame him for it. Orton threw for 330 yards and 2 TD and for 23 fantasy points. Orton is turning into a must start thanks to Josh McDaniels, Brandon Marshall and Jay Cutler.
WR Donnie Avery, Rams: I know you probably are not thinking about any Rams players, but Avery caught five passes for 87 yards and a touchdown (14 fantasy points) in Week 5 loss to the Vikings. Now he faces a Jacksonville defense that’s allowed 4 TD through the air.
WR Austin Collie, Colts: He is in only 16% of the leagues. Collie had eight catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns against the Titans. He has scored in back-to-back games. I know he is on a bye week but pick him up and stash him on your bench. I’ll bet Peyton will be looking for him again. Consider him a long term option.
RB Sammy Morris, Patriots: 50% of the leagues own Sammy Morris. After Fred Taylor’s injury and with Tom Brady struggling to connect with wide receivers, Morris seems like a good option for NE offense. Although he failed to find the end zone, he had 17 carries for 68 yards and 2 catches for 39 yards during the loss to the Broncos.
Other good options are: TE Jermichael Finley (Green Bay), WR Hakeem Nicks (NY Giants), QB Mark Sanchez (NY Jets) and WR Andre Caldwell (Cincinnati).
