The craziness that is the NFL is back for Week 11 and it’s time for us to break down our weekly Top 12 teams to bet on. Begrudgingly, we still have the Colts as number one on our list, while the Bears served notice that they want that top spot back. Meanwhile, the Patriots and Giants both hit bumps in the road. Let’s take a look:
Rank (PVR) Team Reason
1 1 Colts A narrow win over
2 2 Bears A great bounce back win on the road. And guess what? They have another road game in
3 5 Broncos It wasn’t pretty, but they got the job done in the second half versus
4 6 Chargers The defense doesn’t look good, but the offense is fantastic! Once Merriman comes back things are bound to get stingier on defense.
5 7 Ravens Steve McNair is the coolest quarterback under pressure in the league. But wouldn’t it be nice to see him play well in the first half as well?
6 3 Patriots This team misses Rodney Harrison desperately right now and the Packers are pretty potent on offense in ’06. It’ll be a tough test in Lambeau.
7 4 Giants Eli Manning has to “Man Up” and start leading this team. New York is banged up on defense and isn’t stretching the field well on offense.
8 12 Seattle Watch out for the Hawks. They are getting healthy at the right time and the defense is tightening up. Plus, they now have an experienced backup QB.
9 8 Saints Turnovers killed the Saints in Pittsburgh. Their coaching staff will have them bouncing back in a big way versus Cincy.
10 - Panthers A big win on Monday night could propel Carolina to their typical second half winning streak.
11 - Eagles Philadelphia has another easy game this weekend. Having lost four games by less than seven points, this team isn’t far away from being dominant again.
12 - Cowboys It seems like we are constantly adding and removing Dallas from this countdown. They should be off this list by Monday morning.
Honorable Mentions:
Jaguars (Tell you what, if they beat the Giants, we will finally be impressed), Chiefs (A very disappointing loss in Miami, some things don’t change), Jets (They’re only here because of their inexplicable winning record).
