I found it very funny this week when I saw that the NFL had fined Art Shell for his negative comments about the officiating in last week's games. It must be the first time all season anyone has listened to him. He probably feels almost important right about now. It won't last. Good luck to all this weekend.

Here's to Alex Smith, who, upon watching play live in Seattle last season, made me sure the Niners had made a grave error in selecting him with the first overall draft pick. The Seahawks have to be the most boring team to watch and I am not sure why. I think it may be the ugly uniforms or something, but I just can't get excited about this squad.

INDIANAPOLIS COLTS -1.5 AT DALLAS COWBOYS +1.5

One or two game-saving, sure-score dropped passes by everyone's favorite loudmouth, over-rated receiver should be the difference in this game. The Cowboys should win the time-of-possession game, if that is any consolation.

SAN DIEGO CHARGERS +2.5 AT DENVER BRONCOS -2.5

Marty Schottenheimer-be-damned, this Chargers team is going to light it up this weekend for once at Mile High. The players realize now that Marty can't be trusted. If the going gets tough, they will let loose and romp.
