It has been a long time since a Superbowl was so anticipated. The game promises to be as high scoring as any Superbowl has been in eons. Two of the top four Offense meet in Miami to determine who will hoist the Lombardi Trophy. The teams have been determined - now is time for the popular super bowl prediction.

Superbowl 44 is a matchup between two of the most deserved teams in recent memory. Two number one seeds meet in Miami on February 7 th to decide who is the best Football team in the land. One team has previous Superbowl experience while the other is making their first trip to the big game. One team has a rookie Head Coach while the other one has a young but seasoned coach. The story lines are endless which makes it very difficult to come up with a superbowl prediction.

Peyton Manning and the Indianapolis Colts were pre season favorites to return to the big game and they have not disappointed along the way. The Offense is as sound as it has been for a decade or so and for the first time in a long while, young players are making contributions of the Offensive side of the Ball. Pierre Garcon and Austin Collie have emerged as big game players in their first year in the league to the delight of Peyton Manning, the Colts coaching staff and its fans. Experience is mostly on the Colts side except for Manning’s recent go-to receiving threats. This could be a factor.

The New Orleans Saints also enjoyed a magical regular season run and threatened to become another in the short list of undefeated NFL teams. Drew Brees will lead a balanced, deep team into Miami on quite a role after their thrilling NFC title win against the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints proved that they have no holes on Offense as they moved the ball at will against a scary Minnesota Defense.

When making a superbowl prediction, one has to analyze all aspects of the teams involved and that means that the Defenses have to be considered. Dwight Freeney is in danger of missing Sunday’s game for the Colts which would be a blow for their crucial pass rush and run Defense. Freeney’s absence could be THE determining factor. The Saints Defense has grown up before our eyes. Greg Williams has the Saints playing superb ball and his play calling might be the deciding factor.
