Bears to Feast on Dead Carcass of Detroit Lions

If you think that heading is gruesome, then you haven’t been watching the Detroit Lions this sports betting season. The Lions are 2-5 ATS and this season and are heading in to solider field, a place they have gone 2-5 SU in their last 7 visits. The Bears are peaking at the right time, striking balance on offense behind Matt Forte and a surprising Kyle Orton. The offense has averaged 28.0 points per game.

The defense, however, is what’s going to take the stage this weekend. With a double-digit spread against the hapless Lions, I really don’t see how Detroit gets in to the endzone this weekend. The Bears are 7-2-1 ATS and are worth your betting dollar in our BetUS sportsbook interface!

NFL Free Pick: Chicago -12.5 (UNDER)

Minnesota Running Into Texans at Wrong Time

Both teams impose formidable rushing attacks, with Steve Slaton and Ahman Green offsetting the production of Adrian Peterson. Sure, the Vikings are predictably potent against the rush, but their pass defense is horrific. They allow 219.4 yards passing and Matt Schaub has elevated his game beyond all expectations. Houston is 6-1 against the O/U this season, averaging 25.0 points per game.

Minnesota isn’t worth a mention when it comes to protecting your betting dollar. They’re 1-4 ATS in their last 5 home stands and are 2-8 ATS in their last 10 games. I’m unsure of what Houston will do on the road, and that’s why this game is an attractive OVER game, because the Gus Bus may have a chance against a secondary that allows far too many points on the road. At the end of the day, I find it nearly impossible to fathom Minnesota protecting the spread.

NFL Free Pick: Houston +4.5 (OVER)

Green Bay to Get Dose Of Reality Against Titans

It’s easy to say that Green Bay coming off a bye week is an easy bet against the Titans on a short week. But the Titans have done nothing to let you assume they won’t protect your betting dollars this weekend. The Titans are 7-0 ATS and are outscoring opponents by 13.4 points on average this sports betting season.

The key here is Tennessee’s rushing offense averaging a startling 144.4 yards per game, clashing with a non-existent rush defense that gives up 140.7 yards against per game. Saying that Jeff Fisher and Chris Johnson will control the pace of this game is an understatement. The Titans are perhaps the best home team bet this season, going 4-0 ATS at home. While Green Bay is 10-3 ATS on the road, they’re not the same team that was blasting the spread last season.

NFL Free Pick: Tennessee -4 (OVER)
