NFC North Free Picks – Bears, Vikings and Lions to Get Stomped

Bears

The Titans almost lost against the spread for the first time this NFL betting season, getting a push when they clashed with the riley Packers. The only thing about that game that concerns me is fatigue, but now the Titans got a regular training week to get back up to speed. They’ll need all the gas they have in the tank to get past a stiff rushing defense that only allows 81.8 yards per game.

Chicago is experience a quarterback debate, keeping tabs on Kyle Orton’s health while Rex Grossman continues to play the role as the starter in practice. Either way, the Bears have no deep threats with Berrian catching the leather in Minnesota. The Bears are going to have trouble finding room to slice Finnegan and the Titans’ vaunted secondary, which only gives up 198.1 passing yards against. The Titans look like a strong play again, even with the Bears’ defensive starters taking the field again. They haven’t let you down yet, why would you think they would this week?

NFL Free Pick: Tennessee -3 (UNDER 38.5)

Detroit Lions

If Culpepper is the best answer you could possibly come up with, you’re in the pits. At least the zombie-like Culpepper is too slow these days to foolishly run out of the endzone! With Jacksonville’s defense showing recent signs of weakness, largely due to injury, the Jags look like a strong play this weekend despite going 1-4 ATS in their last 5 games.

Detroit is 1-6 ATS in their last 7 games and invokes absolutely no faith on the sports betting front. Culpepper and Calvin Johnson may strike a chord, but is it really going to be enough against a Jacksonville defense that is looking to feast on a weak team? Though the Jags haven’t been a strong spread buster in the least this season, the Lions are horrific.

NFL Free Pick: Jacksonville -6.5 (UNDER 43.5)

Minnesota

The Packers were able to put up a nail biter against the Tennessee Titans but fell just short when it counted most. The same will not be the fate when it comes to Minnesota. Green Bay’s return from the bye week proved that they are still a legitimate contender. Despite a bad 2-3-1 ATS record this season, the Pack is 4-1 ATS in their last 5 challenges from Minnesota. On top of that they are 4-1 ATS and SU in their past 5 games on the road to the Metrodome. If there’s a stronger pick out there this weekend, I’d like to see it. The Packers as road dogs is a gift.

NFL Free Pick: Green Bay +2.5 (OVER 44.5)
