Game Of The Week. Easily.
The 10-0 Saints are coming off a very convincing 38-7 over Tampa Bay. The Saints dominated every facet of the game, which is what one would expect from an undefeated team like the Saints playing a one-win team like the Bucs. Drew Brees is still playing at an elite level, and the emergence of Robert Meachum has given him another weapon in his already potent offense. The only Saints weakness as of late has been their paper-thin secondary, but they addressed that by signing CB Mike McKenzie, who played with New Orleans from 2004-08.
The New England Patriots got over their tough loss to Indy by dismantling the New York Jets last week. Tom Brady and Randy Moss are in 2007 “Perfect-Season” mode; they’ve hooked up for touchdowns in each of the last three games.
What The Patriots Have To Do To Win
Mike McKenzie may be familiar with the Saints system, but it may take him a week or two to get back into game shape. The Patriots will want to exploit that. Not that they have trouble getting touchdowns in the air, what with the best passer-receiver combination in the game. The Pats defense will be tested heavily against the Saints offense.
They’ve played well last week against New York, forcing four interceptions, but the Jets have nowhere near the explosiveness that New Orleans possesses. It’ll be incredibly hard to the defense to exploit mistakes made by the Saints; Drew Brees and co. just don’t make that many.

What The Saints Have To Do To Win
They must outscore the Patriots. The New Orleans Saints defense, although much improved from last season, can still look sketchy at times. McKenzie’s return to the cornerback unit is a good thing, but who knows how much immediate impact he can make.
It’s going to be difficult for New Orleans to match up against a revitalized Randy Moss and Wes Welker. Last week Welker caught 15 passes for a career-high 192 yards. It will up to Brees, Reggie Bush and Marques Colston to win the game. So nothing out of the ordinary for the league’s number one ranked offense.
Outlook & Pick
As stated earlier, Game of the Week. Guarantee the over, touchdowns will be scored like they’re going out of style. It all depends on whose defense can make that one big stop. It should be the Saints. Not that the Pats defense isn’t that good, but the Saints offense is so overwhelming that even the ’85 Bears would have trouble. Both coaches will dread seeing their defenses on the field, but both will be gleaming when their offense is running the show. Saints coach Sean Payton will just be a little bit happier.
Pick: Saints -1.5 & over 56.5

There’s going to be a lot of scoring; whoever wins the coin toss will most likely be the first to score. And it probably won’t take long to march down the field and score. And it will probably be the Saints.
