NFL Prop Betting - Saints at Bears - NFC Championship Game Props

Bookmark and Share by Eric Williams

This weekend's NFC Championship game showdown between the New Orleans Saints may be the classic matchup of David vs. Goliath, but what about the battles inside the war?

The BetUS.com Sportsbook offers a multitude of exciting game-related propositional wagers on the matchup and here is a look at and predictions on several.

For a look at a few of the prop bets available for the AFC Championship game, click the link.

Total Sacks in the game?

Over 3½ sacks -120

Under 3½ sacks -120

Great odds for a sure-fire wager. Take the over here easily and thank me later.

Longest FG by Chicago Bears?

Over 39½ yds -120

Under 39½ yds -120

Count on Bears head coach Smith to play this game close to the vest. Weather permitting, taking the over is a no-brainer.

Total TD’s by New Orleans Saints?

Over 2½ TD`s +120

Under 2½ TD`s -160

My heart says Saints, but my wallet is saying something else. Take the under here.

The 1st pass of the game will be?

Complete -150

Incomplete +110

Who knows if the receiver will get butter fingers here or not? However, this is a really fun wager and the first pass will most likely be completed.

What will happen 1st for Drew Brees?

Touchdown -250

Interception +175

I'm going to go the other way with this one and say Brees gets picked before he throws a touchdown pass

Drew Brees total completions?

Over 23 completions -120

Under 23 completions -120

23 completions is money in the bank for Brees in this "gimme" wager.

Rex Grossman total passing yds?

Over 224½ passing yds -120

Under 224½ passing yds -120

New Orleans' pass defense is about as bad as their passing offense is good. Take the over here easily even if Grossman does throw a pick or two.

Rex Grossman total Completions?

Over 18½ completions -120

Under 18½ completions -120

The Bears will rely on their running game as much as possible, but Grossman should complete at least 20 passes in this contest.

Longest TD by New Orleans Saints?

Over 33½ yds -120

Under 33½ yds -120

Brees will undoubtedly find a way to hook up with one of his talented skill players for at least 40 yards.

Rex Grossman total TD's throws?

Over 1½ TDs throws -120

Under 1½ TDs throws -120

I say Grossman throws two touchdowns in this game - to go along with his his penchant for picks.

Final score by NO Saints in the game will be?

Odd Number -110

Even Number -110

New Orleans scores 17 points in this one. Hold on a moment while I ask my 10-year-old if that's odd or even.

Total FG’s in the game?

Over 3 FG`s -140

Under 3 FG`s -140

Take the over here. This game could turn out to be a field-goal kickers dream - or worst nightmare - if the weather and wind are really bad.

Will a Kickoff be returned for a TD?

Yes +800

No -3000

Calling Devin Hester ... calling Devin Hester. If the Bears explosive returner gets a chance, he can "take one to the house" in his sleep, making this one of the best props bets in both championship games.

After watching the Saints porous special teams coverage against the Philadelphia Eagles last week, I'd say it's a serious possibility that Hester could take one back, making the +800 return look very attractive.

Will there be a score in the 1st 7.5 min of game?

Yes -170

No +130

Whether it's three-points or six, someone will score in the first seven and a half minutes, guaranteed.

Final score in the game will be an…

Odd Number -140

Even Number EV

Total TD’s in the game?

Over 5 TDs EV

Under 5 TCs -140

This is a tough pick here. The number of touchdowns in this game should be right around five. Let's go on the high side and say over for even money.

Longest FG in the game?

Over 44 yds EV

Under 44 yds -140

Cold, hard footballs and swirling winds do not make for many long field goals - or attempts for that matter. I think there may be at least one that goes over 44 yards though, so there!
