NFL Week 10: Prime Time Picks

The 2018 NFL season is past the halfway point, and playoff races are starting to heat up in both conferences. Week 10 features a trio of competitive games on prime time, giving bettors a chance to win some money. Let's take a look at each of the three prime time games and make a prediction and pick for each game.

Thursday: Pittsburgh Steelers -6.0 vs. Carolina Panthers: A pair of hot teams will meet up in one of the best Thursday Night Football games of the season. Both the Steelers and Panthers look like playoff teams in 2018, but each team gets the job done in different ways. Pittsburgh racks up yards through the air with the arm of Ben Roethlisberger while the Panthers like to run the ball with Christian McCaffery and quarterback Cam Newton. The Steelers defense appears to have figured it out after struggling through the early part of the season, and they will be ready for Newton in this game. The Panthers have a talented offense, but they don't have enough balance on offense to really challenge the Steelers in this game. Look for Pittsburgh to win this game by a wide margin at home. Bet the Pittsburgh Steelers -6.0 over the Panthers on Thursday Night Football.

Sunday Night: Philadelphia Eagles -6.0 vs. Dallas Cowboys: NFC East Divisional rivals will meet up on Sunday night in what should be one of the best games of the day. Both teams are trying to catch the Washington Redskins in the divisional race, but only the Eagles have a real chance. The Eagles defense is still playing at a high level this season, but they are waiting on the offense to catch up. The Dallas Cowboys are still looking for someone to step up on offense after letting Dez Bryant go after last season. The Cowboys won't make this easy on the Eagles, but Philadelphia will come away with a double digit win at home in this game. Bet the Philadelphia Eagles -6.0 over the Cowboys on Sunday night.

Monday Night Football: San Francisco 49ers -2.5 vs. New York Giants: This is by far the worst of the three prime time games, but there are still reasons to watch. The San Francisco 49ers got their second win of the season in a week 9 blowout over the Oakland Raiders. The Giants come into this game with a 1-7 record, but they feature one of the best rookies in the league in Saquon Barkley. The 49ers are the favorite in this game, and they should be due to their recent play. New York is the second worst rushing team in the NFL despite having Barkley, and must find a way to give him more touches in this game. Third string quarterback Nick Mullens was impressive in his NFL debut against the Raiders and will get another start in this game. The 49ers continue to compete despite their poor record, and they should pick up their second straight win in this game. Bet the 49ers -2.5 over the Giants in this game.
