NFL Week 15 XBOX Simulation Pick - Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints
by Mike Rose

Week 15 of the NFL sports betting season offers up a non-divisional NFC battle when the Dallas Cowboys (8-5, 6-7 ATS) invade the Superdome to battle the New Orleans Saints (13-0, 8-5 ATS) in a pro football betting battle; kick-off is set for 8:20 ET and can be seen nationally on the NFL
This will be the first time these franchises have met in 2+ seasons. The Cowboys are just 2-3 SU & ATS against +.500 teams in ’09, but they’re 7-3 SU & 6-4 ATS against NFC opposition. They’ve failed to cover their first two December games this season, and are now a pathetic 5-15-2 ATs their L/22 in the final month of the year. NO is a perfect 5-0 ATS the L/5 times it was installed a home chalk in the 3.5 to 10-point range; they’re also 7-2 ATS the L/9 as a home favorite. However, the underdog has cashed each of the L/5 meetings in this series.

All NFL bettors and NFL fans eyes were on this Week 15 football betting match-up between the Cowboys and Saints, and this one hardly disappointed. Dallas got the scoring going when K Nick Folk nailed a 37-yarder, but the Saints answered right back with a TD when QB Drew Brees and RB Reggie Bush connected on a dump-off that went for 33-yards. The Cowboys cut the lead to one-point on another Folk FG and trailed 7-6 after the 1st quarter.
Dallas took the lead just 45 seconds into the 2nd quarter when QB Tony Romo and TE Jason Whitten connected from 17-yards out. The Saints added a pair of FG’s to retake the lead, and then built upon it in the final minute of the half when Brees tossed his second TD of the game to WR Lance Moore who just got off the injury report. The Saints held a 20-13 lead through the first 30 minutes of play.
The Cowboys got some help from their special teams in the 3rd quarter after the defense finally came up with a stop when WR/PR Patrick Crayton rattled off a 48-yard score on a punt return. After a Brees pick, DAL took the lead after Folk nailed his third FG of the game. The Saints took a brief 27-23 lead when Brees connected with WR Marques Colston from 7-yards out, but the Cowboys stormed right back. After a huge return on the kick from Felix Jones, RB Marion Barber scampered for a 17-yard run that hit pay dirt to give the Cowboys a 3-point lead heading into the final quarter of play.
Neither team did anything over the course of the next 8 minutes, but Dallas added another Folk FG after the defense got another stop to increase their lead to six. Dallas got another stop on NO, and seemingly had the game in the bag provided they could rattle off a couple 1st Downs. On 3rd and long however, Romo’s Cowboy ways bit him in the rear when his toss to WR Roy Williams was picked off at midfield.
The Saints had just 1:25 to score a TD or their perfect season wouldn’t be. Like they have so many times this year, the Saints did it again and notched the go ahead score with just 7 ticks remaining when Brees and Colston hooked up on a fade from 9-yards out. The loss was gutwrenching for DAL fans, but their betting backers walked away happy with the NFL pointspread cover.
