by Mike Rose

Philadelphia Eagles vs. Chicago Bears 8:20 ET
Both the Philadelphia Eagles (5-4, 5-4 ATS) and Chicago Bears (4-5, 4-5 ATS) will look to bounce back from last week’s disappointing road defeats when they go at it in a NFC non-divisional pro football betting clash in the Meadowlands; kick-off is set for 8:20 ET and can be seen on NBC.
Chicago earned a 24-20 home win and cover against Philly last season as three-point home underdogs, and have now won two in a row in the series. The Eagles are 1-0 SU & ATS as a road chalk of 3 or less this season, but just 2-4 SU and ATS in that role the L/3 seasons. Chicago’s 4-1 ATS its L/5 as a home underdog, and 5-1 SU & 6-0 ATS after two or more consecutive losses since 2006.
Weather: partly cloudy. Lows in the lower 40s

Both the Eagles and Bears got out of the gates quickly to Sunday Night’s NFL betting affair. The Bears went right down the field on their opening possession. QB Jay Cutler quickly turned the page on his horrific outing last week at San Francisco by tossing a 6-yard TD pass to WR Devin Hester to cap it. The Eagles answered right back however, as the Bears had a breakdown on a 3rd and short, and 55-yards later, RB LeSean McCoy was dancing in the end zone.

The teams exchanged FG’s in the second half, but with the game knotted up at 10, CHI K Robbie Gould nailed a 47-yarder on the last play of the 2nd quarter. Chicago went into the break up three.
The Bears extended the lead to 10 when Cutler threw his second TD pass of the game; this time to TE Greg Olsen from 3-yards out. However, the defense wasn’t able to contain Philly’s passing game on their next drive as McNabb sprayed the pigskin all over the field. The TD scoring drive ended when TE Brent Celek hauled in D-Mac’s first TD pass of the day from 13-yards out.
HC Andy Reid’s club dominated the 4th quarter last week against San Diego, and did so once again Sunday night. The they took a one-point lead when Leonard Weaver rumbled in from 2-yards out, and got in front of the spread with 6+ minutes left after K David Akers nailed a 39-yarder.
The Bears failed to match Akers’ FG when Gould’s 53-yard attempt came up short, and then things got even worse.
After Chicago forced a three and out, Cutler was picked off for the first time in the game. The Bears “D” got the ball right back after LB Lance Briggs INT’s a tipped pass, but the offense was once again stymied when Cutler threw his second INT in a matter of just three minutes of game time.
The boos cascaded down onto the field as the prized free agent slumbered over to the bench, put on his orange cap, and watched the Eagles take a couple knees to salt the game away.
