In the final game of the preseason, don’t expect to see many of the Week 1 starters to play the entire game and New Orleans will limit their starters more than the Titans will. Both the Titans and the Saints will be using the final preseason to clear up the final roster positions and solidify the depth chart.

Tennessee has a lot of promise this season and if they get to a fast start, don’t be surprised if they challenge the Indianapolis Colts for the AFC South division title. They will be relying on the legs of Chris Johnson, the hands of Kenny Britt, Nate Washington and Justin Gage and asking Vince Young to orchestrate it all effectively.

Rookie wide receiver Damian Williams has been solid in camp and could have a greater role in the offense as the season goes on.

Jeff Fishers’ teams have always finished the season strong so they will be looking to avoid a 0-6 start as they had in 2009 and if they can avoid that, a playoff berth should be a lock.

The New Orleans Saints are essentially the same team that won the Super Bowl last season, the offense will be ridiculous and the defense will rely on the big plays and turnovers to keep opponents out of the end zone.

If you look at the Saints games last season, they needed a big lead because the defense wasn’t stopping their opponents with regularity but with the Saints video game offense, it shouldn’t be too much of a problem.

We won’t see Drew Brees against the Titans so the job of finishing the preseason on a winning note will fall to Patrick Ramsey and Chase Daniel. Ramsey and Daniel will have limited targets Thursday night with the starters taking limited snaps.

If this game was a regular season matchup, the Saints would be favored by at least 6 points but with the starters on both sides seeing limited action, the football betting line has the Saints as 7½-point underdogs. Despite playing the backups, the Saints should keep this game within a touchdown against the Titans.

NFL Betting Pick: New Orleans Saints +7½
