Seattle Seahawks vs. San Diego Chargers Odds

Maybe it’s because I live on the West Coast but there has been a lot of attention paid to the New England Patriots.
Both of those games need to be taken in perspective. First, the Colts were without Dwight Freeney and Marvin Harrison in last year’s playoff loss to the Chargers. Second, the Patriots, after their hot start against football betting spreads for most of the regular season, had failed to cover in their four previous games going into the AFC Championship.
And, now, comes word from Chargers’ camp that Shawn Merriman has knee ligament damage. Can the Chargers win without Merriman? Well, there’s some debate as to whether Merriman will be out for long. So NFL betting fans just need to sit tight. More information will come out soon regarding Merriman’s injury.
Super Bowl again like they did in 2006. The only problem is that they just don’t appear to have that something extra that can take a team to the next level. The NFC West is once again a very weak division. That leads me to believe that the Seahawks can once again get into the playoffs.

Shawn Merriman is hurt, LaDanian Tomlinson probably won’t play all that much if at all, and Philip Rivers will be good for maybe a half.
With all of that, the Chargers are still over a touchdown favorite versus the Seattle Seahawks in this game.
It doesn’t make a lot of sense, does it? This is an NFL Pre-Season game. The online betting line is really confusing me. The Seahawks are undefeated in the NFL Pre-Season. The Chargers lost to the St. Louis Rams 7 to 6 in their last game.
Maybe, this is one of those sucker bets. I don’t know, but if it is then I sort of have to be a sucker. There’s just nothing else to do here. I have to bet the Seattle Seahawks at the online NFL odds of +230 to win this game outright. To me the money line is just too high in this pre-season game to pass up.
