Online NFL Wagering - McNabb versus Cutler
Sunday night football is arguably the most important game of the weekend. BetUS sports betting loyalists use Sunday evening's matchup as a contest to recover lost money or to further build on their weekend bankroll.
Hopefully you are in the green come Sunday evening, and the primetime feature adds to your bankroll, which will be determined by play under center. Here is a look at the meeting between Philadelphia at Chicago, beginning at8:00 PM Eastern on NBC, along with a moneymaking selection.
Philadelphia (5-4 SU&ATS) at Chicago(4-5 SU & ATS)
For the Chicago Bears, they hardly ever know which Jay Cutler will appear on the field. The Bears have won the last two meetings against Philadelphia, including a 24-20 victory at home last season. And this game will be decided by one of the two signal callers!
Philadelphia followed a 20-16 defeat against Dallas with a 31-23 loss at San Diego last Sunday. Donovan McNabb threw for a season-high 450 yards, going 35-of-55. He waspicked off in the end zone on the game’sfinal play, though, and struggled repeatedly in the red zone.
Despite the consecutive losses, McNabb andcompany are still in contention for a playoff spot, trailing NFC East-leading Dallas by just one game. The Eagles are5-1 against the spread following a victory straight up and against the spread.
BetUS football odds favor Philadelphia by three points with a total of 45. When they are favored by that margin, they are4-1 against the spread. As well, the Eagles are 18-8 ATS in their last 26 games after accumulating more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
McNabb's counter part is coming off a stagnant performance. Jay Cutler threw a career-high five interceptions in Chicago’s 10-6 loss at San Francisco on Nov. 12. The Bears outgainedSan Francisco 350-216 buthad to settled for just two field goals.
Chicago has covered the spread in only one of its last five games, and they are a money-dropping1-7 versus the number in their last eight games as the underdogs. Certainly numbers that are ugly if you bet on NFL and support the Bears.
Cutler has been forced to carry the offense because of an ineffective running game. Chicago is a dismal 30th in the NFL at 85.2 yards rushing per game. Matt Forte, who rushed for 1,238 yards as a rookie in 2008, has been held to a mere 482 yards this season.
The Skinny: This is a must win game for both teams, which are led by two very inconsistent quarterbacks.Who is the most inconsistent between the two? The answer has to be Cutler. The Eagleswill be without its main go to guy,but theveteran QB will find a wayto get the job done.Lesean McCoy will play a major role as Philadelphia's primary back in the absence of Westbrook.
The road team in this series is 5-2 against the spread, so don't bank too heavily on home cooking. The Bears are a woeful 2-6-1 ATS in their last nine versus the NFC. Meanwhile, Philadelphia is a solid 12-5 against the spread versus NFC opponents. The Eagles find a way to pull this one out in money making style.
