Here we go, two more weeks of NFL betting to our hearts’ content before the postseason changes the landscape of wagering. We did pretty well once again, raising our winning percentage from “money-making” to “rolling in it.” Let’s see what we can accomplish staring down several intriguing matchups this holiday season.

-3.5

Pittsburgh is clinging to slim playoff hopes and must continue their recent strong play. Willie Parker should be able to provide enough yardage on the ground to help Roethlisberger in playaction.

With Steve McNair banged up and the Ravens not needing this game as badly, we expect the Steelers to be hungrier, particularly at home. Jamal Lewis is a shadow of the tailback he used to be and you need to be able to run the ball in Blitzburgh.

Take the Steelers and lay the points.

Are you kidding me? Philadelphia has been absolute spread gold over the last few weeks and now they are getting a touchdown? Thank you Mr. Oddsmaker, we’ll definitely take your gift during this festive season. Jeff Garcia has been very solid, turning back the clock and showing pro bowl form. Philadelphia will keep this divisional game close.

Meanwhile, we know the Cowboys are a good team coming off a strong performance in Atlanta last Saturday. However, we just believe the Eagles are going to be hungrier. We just couldn’t find a trend that could justify giving up this many points.

Take the Eagles and the points.

There isn’t much optimism in either of these two cities right now, but there is one player who will be focused and dominant. Expect quarterback Tim Rattay to once again seize his rare opportunity to play and excel. The Buccaneers still have enough weapons on offense to give a bad Browns defense problems.

Cleveland packed in their season a while ago and we just don’t like giving them any amount of points.

Take the Bucs and the points.
