Denver Broncos Overview
by BetUS Staff

Overview
The San Diego Chargers last year but they turned out to be a complete disaster. Injuries ravaged the team as Mike Shanahan's boys were far too shorthanded to make a real dent on the West.
Expectations are low in Denver but now that they are healthy, maybe they can earn themselves a Wild Card berth in the AFC.
Offense
Being outscored 64-6 against the Broncos offense had plenty of work to do. Part of the problem was injuries, which hurt usually steady offensive line. Also, it wasn't publicized until after the season that quarterback Jay Cutler had diabetes and had lost a lot of weight mid-season.
Cutler returns and so does his top wideout, Brandon Marshall. Tight end Tony Scheffler finally looks to be over his foot problems and the Broncos added Darrell Jackson and Keary Colbert to detract attention from Scheffler and Marshall.
The key to the Broncos offseason should be the drafting of left tackle Ryan Clady. He has made a smooth transition to the NFL Betting so far and should help boost an offensive line that was uncharacteristically weak last year.
As for the running game, don't worry about it. After all, this is Denver.
Defense
The key to the Broncos defense has to be up front on the defensive line. Whether it is getting pressure on the quarterback, which has been a consistent problem, or stifling opposing running games, which surfaced as a gigantic problem last year, the Broncos have to be much more effective at the point of attack.
The problem is that there were not a lot of personnel changes to address that this offseason.
The team is hoping that the biggest change, which was at coordinator, is the most significant. Bob Slowik replaces Jim Bates and he has a history of being a good teacher. Bates, also a good coordinator, wasn't able to connect with the defense last year and they really struggled with his schemes.
The Broncos feel they have the personnel to be a top-10 defense and this coaching change is what they hope is all the difference.
Denver Broncos Regular Season Win Total 7.5
The Broncos are in a tough division because of the San Diego Chargers, but they should have an easier time of things with the Oakland Raiders. The Broncos should have a functional offense and should be back to being one of the better running teams in the league but with an OK defense, they are at best a Wild Card team in the AFC.
With this specific win total, though, the Broncos won seven games in an off year and should be good enough for at least eight as long as they are healthy.
The 2008 Super Bowl XLII and beyond!
