NFL Super Bowls XLIV Odds - After one Week of Free Agency
by Damon

Do you ever wonder if a single signing can truly affect the fate of your favorite NFL team?
Is there a player good enough to make such an impact that it even affects the money line?
The answer is: “not really.”
After less than a week of NFL Free agency, we’ve seen significant moves by perennial bottom feeders in the NFL, with relatively little fluctuation in their Super Bowl winning Odds:
The Kansas City Chiefs acquired Matt Cassell and Mike Vrabel - SB XLIV Odds: +10000
The Washington Redskins inked Albert Haynesworth, Derrick Dockery and DeAngelo Hall - SB XLIV Odds: +3000
The New York Jets nabbed Bart Scott, Jim Leonhard and 2 time pro bowl corner Lito Sheppard - SB XLIV Odds: +4000
So, do massive FA moves in any way improve teams’ chances of winning a Championship?
Not according to the current odds they don’t.
