NHL 2018-2019 Betting Futures

The NHL regular season kicked off just a few days.

The Tampa Bay Lightning have finished 2nd or better in the NHL's Atlantic division in five of the last six seasons. They were the best team in the Eastern Conference last year after finishing with a 54-23 record and 113 points.

The Lightning have been consistently good for years and finally cracked the ceiling in 2018 when they reached the Stanley Cup Finals against the Vegas Golden Knights. Despite being the defending Eastern Conference Champions, they aren't even the favorites to win their division.

The Toronto Maple Leafs are the favorites to win the division at +140. Tampa Bay at +155 is my pick to win the Atlantic. Their +350 is also a high value bet to win the Eastern Conference. They're +750 to win the Stanley Cup Final in 2019.

The defending champion Vegas Knights are +600 to win the Western Conference in 2019. Will lightning strike twice in Vegas? I don't think so. Vegas had a great 2017-2018 season. They finished with the best record in the West (53-18) and the most points in the NHL (117).

The Anaheim Ducks finished eight points behind Vegas in 2018. Anaheim has won or finished second in the Pacific division every year since the 2012-2013 season. I can't bet against consistency like that.

They've gotten off to the fastest start in the 2018-2019 season. The Ducks are 3-0 with a +5 point differential. Only the Dallas Stars (+1800 to win the Stanley Cup) and the Colorado Avalanche (+2500 to win the Stanley Cup) have a better point differential in the NHL
The Ducks are +325 to win the Pacific division. They're +900 to win the Western Conference and +1800 to win the Stanley Cup. Click here to bet on NHL regular season.

Those are great odds on a great team. Their value will only drop as the season progresses. Bet on the Ducks to win the division, conference, and Stanley Cup in 2019.
