The Sens nabbed a 2-1 victory with goals coming from Daniel Alfredsson and Jason Spezza, whose returns have helped spark this current run.

Goaltender Brian Elliott has also had a hand in the team's turnaround. The puck stopper has been between the pipes for four of those six wins, allowing just five goals on 120 total shots in that span. Elliott was named one of the NHL's Stars of the Week, posting a 1.25 GAA and a save percentage of .957. Ottawa played UNDER the NHL betting total in three of those four games.

Washington Capitals at New York Islanders

No team is playing better hockey than the Capitals. Washington is an impressive 9-2 to start 2010, grabbing its latest victory over the Phoenix Coyotes on Saturday night. The Capitals’ offense is firing on all cylinders during this span, averaging 4.6 goals a night in January. That scoring outburst has made the Caps and the total a solid parlay, cashing in seven times in those 11 contests – despite hefty totals of 6 and 6.5 goals.

Captain Alex Ovechkin is leading the charge for Washington. He's totaled 20 points in the past nine game including seven goals. Alexander Semin is also peaking during this stretch, compiling 17 points in the past 10 outings. He's coming off a four-point night against Phoenix, netting a goal and three assists. Six of Washington's last nine wins have come inside the Verizon Center. Following Tuesday's road game, the Capitals are home for five of their next seven contests.
