NHL Stanley Cup Playoffs Betting Futures

The NHL regular season has come to a close. What a wild and crazy regular season it was. The Avalanche got into the postseason on the final day. The Bruins had a chance to take down the Eastern Conference points winner on the final day. The postseason is going to be a wild ride. Let's take a look at the match-ups for the First Round of the NHL Playoffs.

Minnesota Wild at Winnipeg Jets

This should be a rough series, as these two teams have no love lost for each other. Many are hoping to see Winnipeg and Nashville in the second round, but the Wild are talented enough to take out the Jets. Minnesota at +1200 to win the Western Conference could be a decent flyer.

Los Angeles Kings at Vegas Golden Knights

Can the Golden Knights keep up the solid play in the postseason? Many are wondering that. And the problem in this series is the Kings are built for the postseason. Despite having a great season, the Golden Knights are still +350 to win the Western Conference over +1200 for Los Angeles.

Colorado Avalanche at Nashville Predators

The 8th seed against the 1 seed. Can't be an upset, right? Every year we see a big upset… But, Nashville is too strong, right? The Predators are +150 to win the West, while Colorado is +1500. The Avalanche will not go down without a fight.

San Jose Sharks at Anaheim Ducks

Likely the most competitive series of the Western Conference. San Jose is +1000 to win the Western Conference and Anaheim is +850. These two teams are quite familiar with each other. Do not be surprised if this goes the distance.

Philadelphia Flyers at Pittsburgh Penguins

The Penguins owned the Flyers in the regular season. The Penguins are +550 to win the Eastern Conference, while the Flyers are +1200. The Penguins are cup tested from previous runs. Look for their offense to be too much for the Flyers.

New Jersey Devils at Tampa Bay Lightning

Tampa Bay has home ice advantage throughout the Eastern Conference. Imagine a Stanley Cup Finals between Tampa Bay and Vegas. Will there be ice not melted? Tampa Bay is +275 to win the Eastern Conference, while the Devils are +1400.

Toronto Maple Leafs at Boston Bruins

Likely the Eastern Conference match-up of the first round. Both these teams had good, and surprising regular seasons. The Bruins made their own bed to play Toronto by losing in the season finale to Florida. The Bruins have been good offensively, but can they keep up with a talented and fast Toronto team?

Columbus Blue Jackets at Washington Capitals

The Washington Capitals did not run away with the regular season this time. But, Washington is still a cup contender. The Capitals are +500 to win the Eastern Conference, and Columbus is +1200. The Blue Jackets are not going to back down, but Washington should be the pick here.

There is a look at the NHL Playoffs for 2018. As for the winner of the Eastern Conference, I'm sticking with the Pittsburgh Penguins. Pittsburgh is priced at +1000 to win the Stanley Cup. They just have too much fire power and experience to look past.

In the West, I've got to go with Nashville. The Predators are battle tested and salivating the chance of revenge for last year. The Predators are +350 to win the Stanley Cup. Yes, we picked a rematch of last season, but that's our conference championship picks for the 2018 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Like last year, Penguin will win it all.
